Shadowed Love

Jeff nodded, burying his face in Matts neck, the tears not slowing down.

Matt carried Jeff into the hospital, where they took him in the beck. Matt waited, worry racing through his body. When the doctor came out, Matt stood. "Well, Mr. Hardy definitely has the flu. Luckily it's like any other flu, it's just his temperature got too high. We stabilized him, and he should be fine, so long as he takes the antibiotics we we prescribed him. He should be perfectly healthy in a week. He won't have to stay the the night, you can take him home in a couple of hours." He explained. Matt was relieved to find out it was just the flu.

Jeff groaned. He knew he was in the hospital but had no recollection of getting there. He was on the edge of conciousness. He wanted Matt.

Matt was allowed to see Jeff, finally. he walked in the room, immediately sitting next to Jeff's bed, stroking the blond's cheek. "Hey darlin', I'm right here. You just have the flu, they're gonna let you go in a couple of hours, alright?" He said.

Jeff heard Matt but he was far too tired to reply. He nodded, or attempted to. He felt like he nodded but he wasnt sure. He fell back into a deep sleep.

Matt got the picture, and gently stroked Jeff's hair as he watched him fall asleep. "Ah love you, darlin'." He whispered.

Jeff leaned into Matts touch, still fast asleep. He still felt like he did when he first woke up that morning.

Matt sighed and gazed at his sleeping brother. He'd protect him with all he had, and make sure he didn't feel any pain. He hoped this flu would pass quickly.

Jeff woke up hours later, feeling slightly better. But his head started to pound.

Matt smiled slightly when Jeff awoke. "Ready to go home, darlin'?" He asked softly.

Jeff nodded briefly, stopping when he got dizzy. He squeezed his eyes shut, his head was killing him.

Matt sighed, and gently scooped Jeff up, before bringing out to the car. Instead, he laid him down in the passenger seat, so he wouldn't have to sit up.

"Mattie..." Jeff whispered, eyes clenched shut as the light made his head pound more.

"It's okay, darlin'. We'll be home soon." Matt said before getting in the driver's seat and driving home, carrying Jeff up to their apartment and laying him on the bed. He sat next to Jeff, rubbing his leg. He'd never do that much walking without his crutches again.

"Mattie, my head..." Jeff groaned, clutching his head and squeezing his eyes shut.

Matt moved to sit next to Jeff, taking out his prescription and handing Jeff the pills. "Take these, darlin'. They'll make you feel better." Matt said quietly.
