I Get Carried Away.

Jake drove then ten miles over the speed limit to Hells Pass Hospital. He opened the door for Mike and Mike carried John into the emergency room.

The Doctors took him away. The only thing that went through John's mind was Mike, and if he was okay. He could care less about himself he just... he wanted Mike to be okay... he prayed for it.

Mike leaned on Jake, he was in pain but he wanted his lover, they almost had to sedate him to let them take John away from him.

They hooked him up to an IV that gave fed fluids, as he puked up every last bit of fluid and nutrition in his body. He probably threw up half his body eight too. After he was done puking, he was half awake as the doctor did an examination. "So, whats wrong with me Doc?" John murmured. The Doc frowned at his results. "I uh... I think your partner should be here for this." He said, not believing what he'd just found out.

Jake carried Mike into the room and sat him down. He waved to John before leaving them alone.

The Doc sighed and looked at them. "Well... there is a reason for all the vomiting and, I believe you said you had very... very intense emotional outbursts?" He asked. John nodded. The Doctor nodded. "Yes well, in your case, we'd call those mood swings. Mr. Hennigan... Congratulations. Your pregnant."

Mike fainted.
On the spot he fell like a sack of potatoes.

John's eyes widened as mike fainted. He looked back at the Doctor. "That's not funny now tell me what's really... oh god your serious?" John asked. The Doc nodded. John shook his head, running a hand through his hair as the Doctor worked on waking Mike up. Pregnant? That's not what scared him, though it did a little. What he wanted to know was... who's baby was it?

Mike was not waking up, he just couldnt, his mind was still trying to process that new information.

John watched as the Doc picked up Mike, sitting him in the chair and trying to wake him up. He reached over, grabbing Mike's hand. "Baby... please wake up... I need you." He said softly.

Mike twitched, trying to open his eyes for his lover.

John smiled softly when Mike's eyes slowly but surely woke up. "You okay?" He asked, stroking Mike's hand with the back of his thumb.

"Yeah...I think im fine. What happened exactly?"
He looked around the room.

"You fainted because, Mike... I'm pregnant." He said softly, gently stroking Mike's hair.

Mike just stared at him, not sure if he could take this... He didnt know...

"B-Baby?" He whispered, letting go of Mike's hand when he saw the look on his face. He sighed, sitting up carefully and looked down at his tummy, rubbing it gently. He didn't know what to do. "Mike... do... do you wanna keep it?" He whispered, looking at Mike.

Mike nodded slowly.
"Yeah im just....shocked...."
He hadnt even thought that maybe it wasn't his...

John gently grabbed Mike's chin, making sure he was looking into his eyes. "Your positive, baby? Because... you know.. the elevator... the man... and... Look, I'm fine with whatever you choose, I just want you to be happy." John said quietly.

Mike blinked at him.
"O-Oh....I.....Its not mine is it Johnny?"
In his eyes, you could see his heart crack and shatter, falling into millions of fragile pieces.

"I-I-I don't know Mike! You know what happened! I wouldn't cheat on you! But Mike... it doesn't matter if this kid is biologically yours or not. What matters is who's there him or her." John said softly but firmly, gently talking Mike's face in his hands. "What matters is who's there for them when their born... when they cry... when they first go to school... when they have their first crush... That's what matters Mike, not whether or not their biologically related to you. Mike... you know my mother isn't my biological mother, but that doesn't mean she wasn't their for me. She was Mommy, Mike. Not my biological mother. And you're gonna be Daddy, if you choose you want me too keep it or not." John finished.

Mike put his hands over John's, his face taking on a look of misery.
Not his....
His Johnny was having a baby and it wasnt his...
Maybe...
Did he want John to have it?
Coarse...It was a part of John but it hurt....
SO bad it hurt.

John gently stroked Mike's cheek. "Baby, I can see it hurts. I'm fine with whatever you want. If I have it... okay, 'cause I'll always know who Daddy is... and that's you. If I don't have it... okay, we try again and have a baby that is yours. Because Mizzy... I don't wanna see you in pain. I won't be upset if we choose to abort it. So baby... you wanna keep it, or get an abortion and start over fresh... just me and you?" John asked softly.

"John baby please don't....just....leave me alone for a little bit...."
He couldnt do this.........

John sighed sadly, letting go of Mike. He wished now more than ever that he could have defended himself against that pig in the elevator... that this baby was Mike's. Mike would resent him if he kept this baby, and he knew it. He just... wished things could go back to normal. Back when his hormones weren't fucked up, which by the way, explains a lot. He wished Jake never got involved. He closed his eyes, remembering how happy he felt when Mike had proposed to him. That was their happiest moment. And now... things were going downhill. He just hoped Mike would still wanna marry him.

Mike stood, hobbling out of the room, our of the hospital, Mike just walked away. He was not leaving John but at that moment, if he didnt, he thought he would hurt someone....Or break, which even comes first.
