They walked to the board to check what matches they had, and saw Shawn and Hunter. Shawn didn't even look at him and he frowned, thinking that Shawn was mad at him over something. He didn't want Shawn to be mad, but he knew it was something he would have to deal with later.

He checked the board and saw he had a one-on-one match with Randy. A smirk slowly graced his lips. This was good. Revenge time. There would be no 'putting on a show' for the fans. He was going to hurt Randy.

Cody didn't have a match, but was to escort Ted and stay at ringside. Ted didn't like that much, but there wasn't much he could do.

He sighed and wrapped an arm around Cody, walking to their locker room and getting ready for the night.

Ted stood in the ring with Cody, whispering in hushed tones as Randy walked down the ramp toward them. He got into the ring and Cody hopped out, biting his lip in worry for his friend.

It was an all out brawl between the three, and so far, Randy was winning. This brawl wasn't planned, but they could care less. This was personal.

Shawn went on about the night as planned. The first segment involved him and Hunter putting their Bragging Right's team up for evaluation. The plan was that if any of their team lost their single's match tonight, then the person who managed to pin them for the three count would take their place. That in itself led to lots of dissension among the team and one Cody Rhodes, who did not seem thrilled about this at all. However by the middle of the show he seemed a lot better. His mood drastically changed and it was as if Shawn and Hunter never pissed him off to begin with. Shawn supposed Cody was worked up over one of the main events which involved his best friend and current or former lover. At this point, Shawn wasn't sure what Randy was to Cody so he figured assumptions were best left undone.

As Shawn and Hunter watched each match from the back, the air grew a little more tense. Shawn was not thrilled at all about watching Trips and John tear each other apart in the ring, but both men- though on separate occasions- assured him it wouldn't be so bad. John promised not to beat Hunter too bad while Hunter merely promised not to humiliate John. Either way Shawn knew egos would collide and they did.

John and Hunter beat the hell out of each other. It was only a single's match but they treated it like a mini Wrestlemania. It was as if it was a fight to stay alive. In the end, Hunter managed to pin John fair and square but Shawn had a sneaky suspicion John stopped fighting. He wasn't going to question it. Instead he congratulated both of his friends on a well worked match and left John so that he could tend to Hunter. John looked rather put off, but since Chris was around Shawn knew it was best to let Chris look after John. After all, with the way he was feeling as of late, being around John was definitely the wrong move.

When Hunter left to get a quick shower before the last segment, Shawn slipped out of the room and headed for the break room where he was all alone. There he watched Ted and Randy's match. They too were really putting on quite the match and he knew the chemistry was only fueled even more by the extreme love/hate relationship all three men shared. When the match ended, instead of Randy going on about his business, he decided to keep up the taunting until Ted swung on him. This was now a full fight and very personal. Ted and Cody were sent up the ramp first followed minutes later by Randy who seemed unphased by it all.

Shawn shook his head waiting until Randy was a little ways down the hall before he moved to stand behind the curtain. He had one more segment to do with Chris, which would be awkward in itself, then he could grab a shower and go home. He noticed when Ted and Cody walked by that Ted was unscathed aside from a few bruises. That was a good sign so he knew he could go back home with very little worries about the two young men. Randy on the other hand, would always concern him. So young and so angry... He shook the thoughts before his music hit and headed down the ramp to meet Chris in the ring.

Ted and Cody walked backstage, Ted making sure to keep the younger man close. If anything happened to Cody due to that asshole? Ted would never be able to forgive himself. Cody meant too much to him.

They walked to the locker room, both quiet in thinking about what had happened that past few days.

Cody felt guilty at getting so mad at Ted. Sure, he had slept with his boyfriend. For a long time. But he came clean about it, and he had ended the relationship. Cody was just glad that they were okay now.

Randy brushed past him, bumping into him on purpose but he wasn't easily rattled. He ignored the man as he began stripping hoping that Cody found his friend and praying that John could hold his own for a full hour. That was a really long time considering he participated in the first ever Iron Man match. He wrestled Bret which was challenging in its own right being that they had tensions between them. Randy was dangerous but Cena was stronger. This would be an interesting night indeed.

Ted spent most of his at the arena in his locker room. He didn't wanna run into Randy. He had had more than enough of that man for three life times. He just hoped that Cody would be okay, seeing as he had gone to the locker room to talk with Shawn about the match.

He had been debating all night whether or not he and Cody should help Randy out in the match. Then, an idea came to mind. They could interfere with match, but do it in John's favor. He smirked a bit. He would have to talk to Cody about that when he got back to the locker room.

Cody had come back and told Ted about the run in with Randy, but that nothing had happened and he got out before anything could happen. He said that Shawn was still in there when he left, and that worried Ted a bit. He knew that Shawn could take care of himself, but he was getting older and Randy was pretty damn strong. And he wouldn't put it past Randy to take advantage of being alone with Shawn in a locker room.

In the locker room, Randy was well aware of Shawn, but was paying him no attention. At least, until he was mostly ready for later on that night. Then, without turning around, he said, "So, how's Bret doing these days?" He knew that Bret was sore a spot for Shawn, as well as his failure at a love life. Randy would use that to his advantage.

Bret. No one had dared to speak of Bret around him, not even Vince McMahon so the fact that Randy had the audacity to bring him up stunned him. It's not exactly secret what happened," he said as he started to oil his body up for his match. "So how is Bret? I haven't seen him in a while. You guys keep in touch?"

Shawn moved to get his chaps out of his bag. "I wouldn't know considering I haven't seen him since November 17, 1997. We were rivals; hardly friends so I don't exactly know why you'd think I'd know what he was up to these days." Shawn snatched his chaps out of his bag, but took a moment to calm down. He knew Randy was doing this on purpose and probably wouldn't dare bring Bret up if Hunter was around. He needed to hurry up and get the hell out of there because he did not want to talk about this at all.

"Of course, of course. My bad. It's not like you had anything with him. Or anything to do with him, really. Messing up his life like that. But," Randy shurgged. "Oh well. I'm sure you're boyfriend- Oh, wait. You don't have one. Because you can't get one. Because you suck royally at making a relationship work," he said and finished oiling himself up.

This struck a nerve. Shawn whipped around glaring daggers at Randy. "What happened with Bret was his own damn fault. Had he not been such a homophobic maniac concerned about pleasing his father rather than himself he never would have found himself on the receiving end of a screw job. As for my personal life, i don't really see how it concerns you and, by the way, did you not just get dumped by both of your lovers? The way I see it you obviously aren't that much better than I am."

Shawn turned away, trembling slightly from a combination of anger and nervousness. Talking about his failed relationships and Bret was something he thought he would never have to do. Even Cena and Hunter avoided those topics. They knew it was a sour topic and one that Shawn wanted to forget about. He took a deep breath reminding himself that his failed relationships were not entirely his fault. And he repeated it over and over in his head like a mantra.

Shawn's words barely phased Randy. "What about John? I know there are still feelings there. Everyone sees it. It's sad, really. He would leave Chris for you in a second. You tell him to jump, he rocket ships into the sky. You'd think with Chris, he'd be over you by now. But maybe you won't let him. Maybe you want him to still be in love with you, because no one else is," he said, crossing his arms and leaning against the lockers.

Shawn dropped his chaps, unable to properly dress due to his anger. "Randy, John Cena is not in love with me. We're close friends and that's all we are. Kind of like Hunter, but you wouldn't know anything about deep bonds like that considering you're so selfish. Why don't you slither away so I can get dressed? I'm not having this conversation with you anymore. My personal life is not up for discussion especially with someone like you."

Shawn picked up his chaps again, but he just held them fighting back images of himself and Cena, embraced in hugs. John would often remind him that it's okay to be loved and to just give in, but he refused. Maybe Randy was right? Was he just stringing John along? It wasn't his intention. Now Randy had him second guessing himself which wasn't good at all.

Randy put his hands up in defeat, but he smirked and knew he was winning. "Of course, Shawn. But remember- Just because I'm not good with relationships doesn't mean I'm not observant. If I were you, I'd stop stringing Johnny boy along and let him be happy with Chris," he said before walking out of the locker room, feeling accomplished. He had done his dirty deed for the day.

Shawn quickly dressed after Randy left, his words weighing heavily on his mind. He didn't think he was stringing John alone but at the same time he knew that sometimes they pushed the lines of their friendship. Maybe he could be more firm about that, but he didn't want to push John away. Without John he'd have nothing really. His relationship with Hunter was complex. He could go to Hunter any time he wanted for sex or anything, but he made a pact that he wouldn't do that. He and Hunter were better friends than lovers. Shawn nodded. "Yeah. Fine. Let's- i should go." He brushed past Cena and headed out the door to meet with Hunter so they could get this pay per view knocked out and he could go back to his empty hotel room.

The pay-per-view went dramatically, but that was to be expected. Cody and the rest of Raw lost because Paul a.k.a. Big Show turned on them, Smackdown! scoring the win. Cody was pretty upset, but he was more focused on the John Cena vs. Randy Orton main event match that was going to happen soon.

And he wasn't the only one. Ted was worried what would happen. He talked to Cody about interfering in favor of John and Cody agreed. It would help wedge apart Legacy even more. So while Cody attended to his match, Ted planned out what would happen. When Cody got back, they discussed the plan.

The main event came around and John and Randy were going at it hard. (Not in that way, you perv ;D) About halfway through the match, Randy was getting the upper hand. Cody and Ted bit their lip as they watched from the gorilla, waiting for their cue. A the match progressed, John was looking worse and worse. They got their cue and headed out, making sure to stay as quiet and hidden as they could. Most fans probably thought they were out there to help Randy, but they weren't.

They got to the ring and John and the ref were arguing about something. Ted took advantage, taking off his shirt and sneaking up behind Randy, choking him with it. John's eyes went wide when he saw and Ted immediately ducked out, pulling Cody out of the ref's line of vision before he turned around.

John and Randy went at it again and Randy start to gain the upper hand - again. Ted and Cody kept interfering when they could, but it didn't help. So Ted finally came to a conclusion. They would have to help John win by disqualification. Ted slid into the ring, delivering Dream Street to an unsuspecting Cena and slid back out. Randy's eyes widened and he snapped to look at Cody and Ted, but they were halfway up the ramp. John may not have won fair and square, but with Randy, he that was damn near impossible.

Once they got backstage, they headed to their locker room and ran straight into Shawn. Literally. The older man fell to the floor and Ted stumbled a bit but caught himself. He looked down at Shawn and smiled slightly. "Sorry," he said and held out his hand to help him up.

Shawn looked up smiling big. "Hey, it's okay." He pulled himself up with Ted's help not bothering to dust himself off. He was tired having wrestled most of their team match. A back body drop from Show had his body aching all over. He ran a hand through his sweat, dampened hair scowling. "I can't believe Paul did that and what's worse is that creative never toldme that this would happen." Shawn was a little pissed off about the way the match ended but a part of him knew that his team could have possibly pulled off the win anyway had he not been so unfocused.

He buried his thoughts about the match deciding to move on to something else. "Cody was a beast during our match. Took a lot of hits, but what's even more impressive is the fact that you two have settled your differences. I peeped most of the main event a while ago from the training room. Nice to see you boys on good terms again and it's good to see you smiling again."

At that moment Cena came up behind Ted, smacking the back on his head playfully before grabbing Shawn for a big hug, kissing his temple. "The champ...is here," he grinned.

Shawn shoved Cena away. "Hey, Chris is here. Don't do that," he scolded.

"Oh come on. I do you like that all the time and he never gets mad. We're friends Shawn. He understands it."

"Yeah well not everyone sees it that way so just...refrain from kissing me."

Cena looked over at Ted, wondering if he knew something that he didn't but apparently Ted was just as confused about Shawn's sudden change of heart. Cena, who liked pushing buttons and getting to the bottom of things, completely ignored Shawn by grabbing him once more, arms wrapped around his tiny waist urging him closer. "What's wrong? Did Hunter get on one of his power trips again?"

Shawn wrestled out of Cena's grip. "John stop it okay? It's- you're taken and sometimes we cross lines we shouldn't cross. Just... if you can't respect my boundaries then maybe we should stay away from each other." Shawn pushed his way past both men so he could go get a shower. He hated to have done Cena that way and he just felt like shit right now. John was so good to him, but John wasn't his to hold and be held by. He slipped inside the locker room and began peeling his clothes off ignoring everyone inside.

Ted frowned at Cena, unsure of what had just occurred in front of his eyes. "Dude, what the Hell just happened?" he asked Cena, watching Shawn walk away. His eyes landed on Shawn's ass and he made a note that Shawn had a pretty nice one. He shook his head slightly to get the thought out of his head.

He looked at Cody, but he didn't seem like he knew anything either. He looked back at Cena, waiting to see if he knew anything, but figured that he didn't, seeing as he was baffled at Shawn's actions. He sighed and looked down the empty hallway where Shawn had walked down, wondering what was going on with the Heartbreak Kid.

Cena watched him go with the same confused look on his face. "I...don't know Ted. I mean, I know Shawn's moody as hell. He has moments when he's just...in a mood for no good reason, but even then he never pushes me away like this. If he was uncomfortable with me touching on him so much I figured he'd have come clean by now my man."

Cena scowled. "I still can't help but think Hunter said something to him. He's against us being so close. Thinks I'm moving in on his territory or some shit like that. If he did say something then he's a total douche. Chris knows about me and Shawn... well ya know that's we're close. He probably wouldn't like it if he knew I've kissed him on the lips a few times, but nothing really past that."

Cena placed his hands on his hips debating going to inquire more but he decided maybe he should let him cool off. He glanced over at Ted, seeing his eyes linger longer than usual on Shawn before he disappeared. "Uh huh. He does have a nice ass doesn't he?" he smirked. "Oh and Cody. Good work my man. Took Show's knockout punch like a pro."

At that moment they could see Randy lurking near the locker room, head down as if deep in thought. He looked kind of bummed that is until he looked their way scowling. "Yikes," Cena mumbled. "Someone's testy."

Ted looked down the hall and saw Randy scowling and scowled right back. "It's Randy. He has enough mental problems for ten people," he grumbled, rolling his eyes at 'the Almighty Viper.' "He's an ass and I'm glad that me and Cody are done with him for good," he said and looked at Cody, who's face was blank. "Codes? You okay?"

Cody shook his head and looked at Ted. "Huh? Yeah, I'm alright..." he trailed off. He was mad at Randy, but he still loved him. He was going to miss him. "I, uh, it's hard..." he trailed off again. That's when it hit Ted.

He never really thought about how Cody felt in all of this. He just assumed he'd be happy without him. He sighed and wrapped his arms around Cody. "I'm sorry, Codes. I guess I never thought about how this affected you..." he said softly and kissed the younger man's temple. Cody just leaned against Ted and sighed softly.

Cena reached out to squeeze Cody's shoulder a little. "I'm sorry my man. I know how ya must feel. Trust me. I've been there just...in another type of circumstance," he said remembering how Shawn kept pushing him away. "Cody you'll get there in time. Just...all you can do is take it a day at the time. I'll see you guys later. I better go find Chris."

Cena hurried off scowling when he walked by Randy. Randy looked unphased and suddenly disappeared into the locker room to change. Shawn did not see him and could hardly care since Randy was the last person on his mind. As the water drenched his hair his thoughts kept drifting back to Bret and their last night together. They'd had sex in the showers, Bret whispering that he loved him only for Shawn to screw him out of the belt a month later.

Shawn blinked the tears away, holding his head up to let the water splash on his face a bit. He hated Randy so much right now. All of these old memories were his fault and now he felt as though he'd never feel a lover's touch again. He squirted some more body wash on his sponge and began washing his body all over again wishing he could forget about it all.

Randy smirked when he heard a shower running and he saw that it was Shawn. Perfect, he thought and stripped down, walking back to to the showers and getting in the one next to Shawn.

"So, how's Johnny boy doing?" he asked coolly. "I saw the little altercation in the hall. Very dramatic. I'm proud of you. Pushing away Johnny when he's just trying to be nice. That's something I would do," he smirked and began to wash his body.

Shawn quickly reached up wiping his eyes. He figured he would be done with his shower before Randy came in if he came in at all. After that match he thought maybe Randy would occupy himself by harassing Cena or Cody, but he thought wrong. Shawn tilted his head to the side allowing the water to rise him from the neck down, the hot water washing some of his tension away, but not much due to Randy's presence. Randy was making him uncomfortable and he wasn't sure if it was because he was bathing so close to him or if he was still feeling the effects from their conversation earlier. "I'm not like you and anyway since when did Cena's well being concern you? I pushed him away because I didn't want people to get the wrong idea- people like you."
