Life As He Knew It (Open)

John felt his jaw drop. "I almost died and your gonna- You know what, fine!" He huffed and told the waiter that he couldn't eat his meal and bring him a new one without peanut butter. When the food arrived, John only ate about 5 bites before he looked at Randy. "I'm full." He said.

"Whatever, John. Just go to the arena. Ill see you in a while," Randy said, throwing some money on the table and walking out of the restaurant, heading outside and down the street to the store. He hadnt eaten anything. He hadnt the appetite.He walked in the store, buying a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, walking back outside and lighting one up, taking a long drag, exhaling deeply.

John sighed and went to the arena. TIme passed, and Randy still hadn't showed up. That disappointed him. Randy always watched his matches. He looked down sadly at his shoes as he stood in the gorilla position. John wrestled his match, fighting like he never had against Mike. This was his chance... to be the WWE Champion. But during the whole match, he wished Randy was here.

Randy walked around for a few hours. Or what he thought was a few hours. When he glanced at the time, he cursed. He called a taxi, going to the arena. He walked in, heading straight to the gorilla and watching the match on the T.V, obviously rooting for his fiance.

Mike, being Mike, always played dirty, had Alex by his side. And since the match was no disqualification, the fact that Alex was holding John by his hair while Mike rained punches all over him was legal. John should be used to hair pulling by now... but that shit hurt, especially when someone tugged too hard. "Let go!" He whimpered as Alex yanked on his long, dark, silky locks.

Randy growled when he saw Mike cheating. He knew he shouldnt, but since when does Randy Orton do things he should? He ran out, running over to Alex and pulling his hair, ripping him off the apron of the ring and onto the floor, landing hard on his back. Randy growled and stomped on his arms and legs like he does in the ring.

John blinked, stunned to see Randy, but happy nonetheless. He turned his attention back to Mike as Randy took care of Alex outside the ring. The match lasted a while, both men dead on their feet. John was beginning to doubt himself as he fell out of the ring. Mike wasn't standing, so he had time. "I can't do this..." He muttered to himself, trying to find the energy to at least stand.

Randy glanced at John, then Mike. He figured if John could get in the ring, he could pin Mike and that would be it. He walked over to him, kneeling in front of him. He put his hands on Johns cheeks and forced him to look at him. "You can do this, John. I know its hard, and you're exhausted, and you feel dead. I've been there. But think about the title. You can win, John. You just gotta get in that ring and pin Mike. Go get the title, baby. Ill be here when you win," he told him before giving him a sweet kiss.

Randy's words, and that kiss gave John one last ounce of energy. He forced himself up,and got in the ring. But somehow, Mike was staggering on his feet, much like John. They exchanged punches, each one taking more and more of John's energy. He didn't know what to do.... So John did the only thing that came to mind... He nailed Mike with a picture perfect... RKO.

Randy smiled widely when John used his move. Now all John had to do was pin Mike. But he knew how much energy it took for an RKO. It seems easy. All you do is grab their head and fall, right? Wrong. You actually pull the person down. And not only that, you also his the mat. But the RKO took more out of Mike than John, so he willed John to cover Mike for the pin. He could do this. Randy believed in him.

John was dea. He looked at Mike, he was only inches away. But his entire body was worn and hurt. He barely had enough energy to breath. But he had will power... John was stubborn, and he would not loose. He used the very last bit of energy, and laid over Mike. 1... 2... 3... John was now the WWE Champion. He rolled off of Mike and stayed there, laying on the mat, having -0% of energy left. Hell, he didn't even realize he won, he was so worn.

Randy smiled even wider, sliding in the ring. He crawled over to John, running a hand through his hair. "You did it, baby. You're the WWE Champion," he said and kissed John again. "Im so proud of you."

John blinked at him, completely dazed. "I did?" He slurred. "Cool..." he murmured before falling asleep on the spot.

Randy chuckled, taking the title from the ref and throwing over his shoulder before picking up John and carrying him backstage, bringing him into the locker room and changing him before picking him up again and carrying him to the car, placing him in the passenger seat and getting in the drivers seat before driving back to the hotel.

John slept soundly, snuggling with Randy as he slept. The next morning, John awoke, his body hurt but he felt amazingly refreshed. He frowned when he saw the WWE Championship on his nightstand. He immediatly, sat up, holding the title in his hands. "Did I..." He trailed off.

Randy was awake, on account of another nightmare. He had already showered and was dressed and ready for the day. "Yes, babe. You did," he said, wrapping his arms around John and kissing the crook of his neck softly.

John blinked, a smile spreading across. "Holy shit, I'm the WWE Champion!" He squealed happily. He honestly thought he'd never become champion. The match replayed itself in his mind. "Oh yeah, I hit Mike with RKO... Oh damn, are mad that I did that?" He asked worriedlh.

"Why would I be mad? That was a perfect RKO, especially being your first," Randy said. Obviously, not as good as him, but he wouldnt tell John though. "I promise you, though, I will never do Starship Pain. Ever."

John chuckled. "Aw, why not? Its not that hard... You might break something, but I'm sure you could manage." He joked, admiring his new title.

"Im far too... large for that," Randy replied, smiling at how John admired the title. He was so happy and so proud of John. "You know everyone is now after you and that title, right?"

John nodded. "I know. And its gonna be tough to hang on to, and I know it won't last forever. But... I think I can do it." He said softly. That was probably the most mature and wisest thing thats ever come out of John's mouth.

Randy smiled. "I know you can," he said and kissed his cheek. "But Im one of those people who's gonna be after it."

John raised a brow. "Good lucky, baby. And exactly how are you gonna do that Mr. I-won't-wrestle-you-because-when-I'm- in-the-ring-I'm-the-Viper-not-Randy-Orton?" He asked, trying to mimck Randy's voice.

"I know how it feels to hold that title there," Randy said, pointing to the title. "I dont care who I have to fight to get it. You think a Championship match with Mike was hard? Wait until you fight me or John for it."

John nodded slowly. "Alright... But just know, I may be a bitch, but I can be tough. I've been through a lot worse than a title match. So if your trying to scare me... try harder." He said with a wink before getting and going into the bathroom to take a shower.
