Life As He Knew It (Open)

"Dont be," Randy monotoned, his chest still aching. It was a fantasy. He would live.

John bit his lip. "I-I... look, don't do this. Don't close up on me. I don't want Teddy, it was a wet dream, and who was in it means nothing, because I have you. And your more than enough, and the only one I want." He said quietly. And it was true. He only wanted Randy... It was just a dream. It didn't mean anything.

"I know, John. I know. But think of how you would feel if I had a wet dream with Codes in it," Randy replied.

John raised a brow. "I'd say its okay because I know you'd never have sex with him in real life, and you'd never hurt me like that. I would be fine with it, because I know its a dream, and its means nothing and you don't control what you dream... plus Codes doesn't compare to me, no offense to him." He finished with a slight smile.

"First off, you say that now, but you know until you experience it. Second, Cody is as gorgeous as you in his own way, so dont judge him like that," Randy said calmly. He wasnt mad. He just wanted John to understand.

John rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Everybody is gorgeous in their own way. And I love Cody, but I'm just straight gorgeous, and the only one that can compare is... you, maybe." He said. He understood what Randy was saying, but no one compared to him... And that's were his self esteem issues came from. John was definitely more beautiful and sexy than the average man, so when someone came along and he was compared to them, it took a huge blow to his confidence and self esteem.

"You tell me to be humble and you say shit like that. Thats hipocritical," Randy said. Randy knew he could get cocky, but thats when he was fighting. Most of the time, he was confident or joking.

John raised a brow. "Okay, Jericho. I'm not a hypocrite, I'm just confident. I... I just don't like showing my shy side." He said. He was afraid to show his shy side, because Randy had never seen it. He didn't know if he would like the shy, timid, humble side of John.

"What does your shy side have to do with you acting like your looks make you Gods gift to Earth?" Randy asked. It didnt make sense to him.

John shrugged. "Because I didn't always flaunt my looks like this. I was the opposite of what I am now." Like when I was a teenager... He thought. "And my looks should be Gods gift to Earth. You probably wouldn't have given me a chance without them." He stated.

Randy looked at him. "You seriously think Im that shallow? Thanks for the vote of confidence. Ya know, you seriously need to come down from that pedistal of yours. Preferrably before we get married," he said calmly.

John glowered at Randy, or tried to as he couldn't turn his head. "I'm not on any pedestal. There's nothing wrong with flaunting your looks. And are you gonna do if I don't change? Not marry me?" He asked.

Randy got up, getting in Johns face. "Come down off that pedestal, John. You will not like the consequences of getting on my nerves. A punt to the head is not the worst thing I can do. You arent Gods gift to Earth, so get the fuck over it. I might be able to compare to you? John, I can take you and I can win by a landslide," he said, using a low voice for the last part. He stood up straight and walked out of the room, in need of space.

John eyes went wide, filling with tears as his body started to tremble. He tried to tell himself he wasn't afraid of Randy... but he couldn't help it. Tear started to fall down his cheeks as he breathing became ragged, the monitors that were hooked up to him beeping like crazy. Nurses rushed in, trying to calm him down before he had another seizure.

Randy growled as he walked into a staircase and punched a wall. He could feel the voices trying to come out but his meds were too strong. He sighed and slid down the wall, leaning his head against the wall an closing his eyes, resting his arms on his knees.

Randy's words hurt... hurt him bad. They hurt more than a punt to the head.And that's what triggered the seizure. The doctor said John needed to ease up on the emotional distress... but the opposite was happening. They stabilized John, and hooked him up to ventilator, the seizure taking a lot out of John. The doctor hooked him up to another monitor, and turned on the ventilator after knocking him out with some meds, putting John right to sleep.

Randy couldnt go back. Not with John in his condition. He would have to wait to see John until he got back from vacation.

The next morning, the Doctor said John could leave as the seizure didn't cause any injuries, so he was okay. He frowned when he didn't see Randy. He looked at the Doctor. "Do you know where my partner went?"

Randy had gone to the next location, telling everyone John was injured and talked to Vince about time off. He organized a flight back to their home. He had done a promo, endorsing their feud and went back to the hotel, holding pillows in Johns place as he lay awake all night. It felt wrong.

John sighed sadly as he entered their home, the place feeling empty without Randy. He still couldn't believe Randy just left him, alone in a hospital. The very least he could have done was send him a text or leave him a note... something, anything to put his mind at ease. He greeted the dogs, feeding them before going up the bedroom, laying awake all night. He sighed, rubbing his neck brace before grabbing his phone. He couldn't take it. He needed to hear his fiance's voice. It was 3 am, but even Randy's voicemail would do. He bit his lip and dialed Randy's number.

Randy jumped when his phone went off and 'Amazed' by Lonestar started to play. John was calling. He smiled a bit and picked up his phone, answering it. "Hello?" He said quietly.

John smiled when he heard Randy's voice. "H-Hey... I'm sorry if I woke you, I just... miss you. And I can't sleep. And it's not from insomnia..." He sighed into the phone.

"You didnt wake me. And I miss you, too. I apologize for leaving you like that," Randy replied.

John sighed. "It's okay. You scared me a little, but I'm... somewhat okay now. Bed's empty without you..." He murmured, cuddling up with Dalton, wishing it were Randy.

"Same here. Mikey, Teddy, Evan and John miss you. They wish you well," Randy said, chuckling when he thought about their friends.
