Life As We All Knew It

"You're so needy. Gosh, even I'm not that bad when I'm having an off day," Randy replied, getting up and walking out.

"Yes, I am needy. And you love me so you will go get me a cookie with no chocolate ships." John said firmly.

"Babe, what's a chocolate ship?" Randy asked, smiling.

"I don't know, I'm sick and delusional.... do they have chocolate ships?" John asked eagerly.

"No, babe, they don't," Randy replied, chuckling. John was so adorable sometimes.

John pouted. "Okay. Then the cookies will do." He huffed.

Randy chuckled, going to the cafeteria and getting a couple cookies before coming back. "Here ya go," he said, handing John the cookies.

John smiled and took the cookies, shoving the bites into his mouth. "Yay, I love you!" He said with a mouth full of food.

Randy looked at him. "Um, manners, babe?" he said.

"I'm old, I don't gotta have manners." John grumbled.

"You aren't old. And yes, you do need manners," Randy said and rolled his eyes.

"Yes I am..." John muttered. "I'm forty... well I don't even like saying my actual age. I just say forty."

Randy rolled his eyes. "You're forty seven, babe," he said.

"Dammit! I don't here the damn age, Randy!" John snapped. "47... so old..." He shivered. "I'm 47 and pregnant! That's weird.."

Randy rolled his eyes again. "You can be so dramatic sometimes," he said.

"Yes, I know. And you love me. Have for the past 17 years. You can deal." John chuckled, coughing slightly.

"Yeah, yeah," Randy rolled his eyes jokingly before smiling.

"I better not loose my hair though.. I already have grey in it." John grumbled.

"Oh, stop it. Seriously," Randy said. "You're forty seven. I thought we got over this years ago."

"And I thought you got over being an ass." John grumbled, coughing again.

Randy sighed. "We aren't doing this. Not right now," he said quietly.

John rolled his eyes and tried to relax in bed. He sighed and closed his eyes, relaxing his aching muscles.

Randy grabbed John's hand, squeezing it gently.

John smiled slightly and squeezed Randy's hand, forgetting about their argument.

Randy sighed quietly. He didn't want to be in the hospital right now because he knew that in a year or two or three, he was going to be in the hospital a lot and he just wanted to spend some quality time with his family while he could.
