My Kinda Party

Carter laughed, "I don't plan on gettin' depressed anytime soon."

John squealed happily. "Yay!" He giggled. "Now, whataya want for dinner?" He asked.

"We just had lunch," Carter laughed.

"Actually no.... we slept for like, three hours. Remember?" John chuckled.

Carter checked his watch, "Damn, my internal clock must be shot."

John chuckled. "So what would you like? Steak? Ribs? I can make you anything really..."

"Can yeh barbeque me some ribs?" Carter asked.

John nodded. "Yep, I have a grill on my balcony." He said, getting and throwing on a sweatshirt so he could go out and prepare the ribs.

Carter got up, "Yeh want any help?'

"Nah, I'm good. If ya wanna come out, get some fresh air you can." John said before going to fetch the ribs and preparing them.

Carter went out to the balcony, sitting in a chair and propping is ankle up.

John came out with the ribs and started u his top of the line grill, singing to himself as he carefully put on the ribs when it was heated.

Carter smiled, "Watcha singing baby?"

John smiled and sang louder for Carter to hear.
"And maybe it’s a little too early
To know if this is gonna work
All I know is you’re sure looking
Good in my shirt

You look good in my shirt..." He sang. He actually like country music...

Carter laughed, "Kieth Urban, huh?" He cleared his throat, singing one of his favorites to John.

John's lip quivered. "You better stop before I start crying..." He whispered, smiling softly.

Carter smiled, "Well it's true and yeh know that."

John smiled. "I know... ya think I'f look good in your shirt?" He chuckled.

"Baby, yer gonna look great in anything yeh wear." Carter smield.

Johns smiled and blushed. "Why must you be so damn.... amazing." He said, flipping the ribs on the grill and closing the lid.

"I was born this way," Carter shrugged.

John chuckled. "So was I. That's something my parents didn't understand at first."

"Yeh being gay?" Carter asked.

John nodded. "Yeah. At first, they were furious. Well, it was mostly my Mom. Surprisingly... my Daddy was the one who defended me." He said with a soft smile.

"Yeah well...parents are assholes..."
