Behind the desk

John winced. "Not a good idea. Ted and COdy always fuck before a match." He said bluntly and went into the bathroom to change as not to make Nolee feel uncomfortable.

Nolee sat there, her head in her hands as she sat on the bench. She had memories of places like this. Alone in a locker room because she had been given her own and no one visiting because she was a wall flower. She had spent many a night finding a guy who would buy her drinks and getting wasted so she wouldn't have to face the truth of her existance as a WWE diva. And yet here she was waiting for her new best friend in his locker room.

"Didn't need to know that," she mumbled about Rhodes and DiBiase.

John chuckled and came out of the bathroom, clad in his furry ring gear. "Oops. Now, I'm up first tonight. Walk me to the gorilla." He said with a bright smile. "I'm starting with a promo... so I'll leave the coat. Plus it's freakin hot." He grumbled, taking Nolee's hand and pulling her to the gorilla position.

Nolee kept her eyes downward as she walked with John, "You promised I could sit in your locker room. You never said I'd have to walk you to the guerilla."

John sighed. "It's not that bad. You can go back as soon as I go out. But you need to have some interaction with the human world. It's better to watch close up, as well." He said. He watched on the monitor as R-Truth talked. And on cue, John's music played. He kisses Nolee on the cheek before he went out on the ramp, doing his beyond sexy, slo-mo entrance.

Nolee closed her eyes those words, But you need to have some interaction with the human world ringing in her ears. She tried not to tear up. John didn't know how she felt about people. They would backstab you in this world sooner than you could blink and she knew that. So she stayed away. She let no one get close, not being cold and heartless but not letting them get near her. She watched his entrance smiling to herself a bit. "Good luck Johnny..."

John smooth talked his way into convincing Truth to put his no. 1 contendership on the line in a match... right now. So the match went on, John almost graceful uyet powerful in the ring. He was the best high flyer in WWE currently. Which is why he won. He was one of the no. 1 contenders... and that's what set R-Truth off. He pulled John off the turnbuckle, cutting his celebration shirt. He attacked, so brutally, looking at the attack made you hurt. He went for John's when and back. Hitting with a water bottle... humiliating him. And it just got fucking sad when Truth blew smoke from a cigarette over John, flicking the cigarette at him, leaving a burn mark on his side. It was painful to watch...

An anger welled inside of Nolee as she saw that. For once, not caring what people said, what people thought, she rushed to the ring to help her new friend. She managed to lift him, though it was no easy task, and wrapped his arm around her neck so that she could help him backstage. That little bit of events was why she didn't make friends. Because things like that could happen. She managed to get John back to him room, though there was a lot of effort and escorted him to the medics room.

John groaned, his body in pain. He whimpered. The medics taped his injured ribs, and put a heating pad on his neck, for he thankfully didn't have a serious neck injury. Though he may have a concussion. When Adam saw, it was too late for him to go out there. He smiled when he saw a girl help John to the back. Lawler's daughter. Adam rushed to the back into the medics office, seeing the girl sitting with john who was laying down. "Johnny baby, you okay?" He asked worriedly, stroking his lover's hair.
John smiled shakily. "Hurt... but I'll be fine. T-This is Nolee. You can thank her for helping me." He said weakly, lightly squeezing Nolee's hand.

Nolee smiled, "It's no problem. That...that duchebag hurt you! He was supposed to be your friend!" She looked at Adam, "You don't remember me do you Addy?"

Adam smiled. "'Course I do. You're Lawler's daughter. We hung out when you were working here, right?" He said, still stroking John's hair. John sighed. "I know but... people don't take too kindly to losing a shot at a title." He said.

Nolee laughs, "We went on one or two dates when I was younger and you didn't know you were gay yet." She paused, "Do...do you want me to talk to him?"

John shook his head. "It's fine. You lose and gain friends n this buissness." He sighed. Adam smiled. "Oh yeah... I'd ask you out again today, but I got Johnny here." He said, kissing John's temple. John smiled softly up at him, lacing his other hand with Adam's.

Nolee smiled knowingly at John, "I told you," she laughed, knowing that John would recall their conversation from earlier.

John chuckled, remembering. "Okay, you were right." He said smiling. Adam was about to ask but let it go. "How about we all go back to the hotel, yeah? Order some room service and get a little tipsy." He chuckled. John smiled. "Sure, only if Nolee will join us though."

Nolee shook her head, "I...I probably shouldn't. I don't know when enough is enough when it comes to alchohol. And you two...you don't want me in there with you..."

John chuckled. "Yes we do! And the night won't end up in sex because I;m too hurt for that. And Addy here knows when enough is enough. He always keeps me in line. Pleeeease join us?" John pleaded, giving her his puppy face.

Nolee looked at him, something hidden beneath her eyes. "John... you don't want me there. None of you do."

John sighed. "Alright, no alcohol. Just please join us, we really do want you there." He said, Adam nodding in agreement. "Yeah, please join us. No alcohol."

Nolee looked down at her lap, "Fine, fine..." she didn't want them to see how conflicted she was. She wasn't the friends type. She was the quiet type who kept to herself. A loner.

John smiled widely. "Yay!" He said. Adam chuckled, and picked John up bridal style. "Can you drive, Nolee?" He asked, handing her the keys before pulling john close to his chest as John was still to hurt to walk without it hurting.

Nolee tried not to look at the happy lovers and nodded, suddenly finding the floor a very interesting place to look. "Yeah...yeah I can drive..."

They all arrived at the hotel, John sitting in the bed. John sighed and pulled Nolee down next to him, cuddling up with her as Adam ordered the food. "You're warm and cuddly." He murmured.

Nolee looked at him, plastering a smile on her face. "Thanks Johnny...for everything...you don't know how much I needed this..."

"Well, get used to it. I don't usually have close friends, so you're all mine." John sighed happily. "And we're going shopping tomorrow. Just so you know..." He said.
