Careful what you say

Jay nodded and continued eating, he wondered if he should tell Seth about the night before.

Seth slowly ate, not looking over at Jay. He had a confused look on his face as he thought.

Jay sighed and quickly finished eating.

Once Seth had finished eating, he just leanded back into the couch, not in the mood to go anywhere after the night before, still hungover despite the coffee.

Jay sat back down on his bed.

Seth laid down on the couch, mumbling something about bars and drinking, rubbing the side of his head with one hand.

Jay handed Seth pain medicine and some water.

Turning his head slightly to look at Jay, Seth couldn't help but ask "Why do you care if i'm in pain?"

Jay shrugged and didn't answer. He put the medicine where Seth could reach it, how could he expain this.

Seth looked at him for a few more seconds before looking away again. He decided to wait until Jay moved away again to take them, being stubborn.

Jay left the room, Adam knocked on the door a few minutes later.

Sitting up to take the meds, Seth jumped slightly when someone knocked on the door, breaking the silence. He almost dropped them, then took them, ignoring the knocking. He assumed Jay was around to answer it.

Adam knocked again, when nobody answered he opened the door with the key he got from the desk. "Jay-Jay?"

Seth was still sitting on the couch, ignoring the person at the door. He didn't know Jay had left the room and didn't bother checking.

Adam saw Seth on the couch and asked, "Is Jay here? And who are you?"

Seth turned his head to look at him. "How should I know if he's here? He was before." He snapped at Adam. "And I'm Seth." He added, sighing as he looked away.

"Oh your the drunk roommate that hit on Jay last night." Adam said.

"What?" Seth asked, suddenly turning around again. He pulled a face as it hurt his head. "I did not!"

"Jay wouldn't lie about something like this." Adam said. Jay walked into the room at that moment.

Seth stared at them, a scared look on his face. "I didn't...I wouldn't..." He stuttered nervously.

Jay bit his lip hard and looked away.

"I...um..." Seth slowly got up and went into the bathroom, still feeling sick from his hangover.
As he shut the door, he realised that him walking away at that time would have made him look like either a coward or a real jerk, or both.

Jay sighed and left the room. Adam followed to comfort his best friend.

Despite having just been sick, Seth was tempted to go out and drink again, but knew it wasn't such a good idea. Instead he leaned against the wall and sighed. He slid down the wall until he was sitting and put his head in his hands.
'I didin't really do that...did I?' He thought.

Jay and Adam talked for a while before Jay returned to the room.
