Your Arms Feel Like Home

John;s heart felt like it was literally ripped in two. But he knew he did this to himself. Eventually, he payed for the meal and caught a cab to go to his friends house for the night.
He and Randy didn't speak or see each other for a month...

A month later, Randy was at the grocery store, getting some stuff for the house. That night, Randy had gone home and cried himself to sleep, like every other night after that and he was sure tonight would be no different. He got cheated on, and John didn't even try to come back. He wasn't sure which hurt more. He sighed and turned around, bumping into someone. "Oh, sor..." he trailed off, eyes widening as he saw John.

John's eyes widened as he saw his ex. The ex he was still very much in love with. "R-Randy..." He whispered, clearly shocked. He didn't come back to Randy because... he thought randy deserved better. Better than some sex addict who hurt him. He hoped Randy could move on.

Randy straightened up and cleared his throat. "What are you doing here?" he asked.

John blinked. "Um... buying food?" He said, running a nervous hand through his hair.

"Right, right. We're in a grocery store. Makes sense," Randy chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck in discomfort.

John nodded. "Yup." He said, feeling incredibly awkward. "I um... I-I miss you." He said quietly, clenching his fist nervously, which was on his bad arm which had a brace on the broken wrist.

Randy bit his lip. "I miss you, too," he replied quietly, glancing at John's arm and frowning slightly. "What happened?"

John looked down at the brace on his wrist. "Oh that... I uh, had to get a new dance partner after we um... split... He's pretty rough, and we were doing swing dancing and he was spinning me and snapped my wrist." He sighed. "It'll heal though." He said, shrugging. "So uh... what have you been up to?"

Randy shrugged, putting his weight on his other foot. "Not a lot. Haven't really drawn lately," he replied, running a hand over the small bit of hair on his head.

John nodded. "Oh... My dancing's sucked lately." He replied. "Hey do... do you wanna go get a coffee later? Its on me..." He said hopefully.

Randy bit his lip to keep from accepting instantly. John had cheated... But he was also a recovering sex addict. And Randy had been miserable. "Yeah," he said with a soft smile and a nod.

John smiled. "Thanks... There's that new Italian cafe down the street. Meet me there in a few hours?"

Randy nodded, biting his lip softly. "I'll do that," he said with a smile before walking away, thinking about the brunette that caused him so much pleasure and pain.

Hours later, John was at the cafe, tracing his finger around the rim of a cup of coffee as he waited for Randy to come. He was nervous. He hadn't seen Randy in so long. He had no clue as to what would happen.

Randy had spent an hour trying to find something to wear. He had finally decided on a pair of dark wash jeans and a red silk button up.

He got to the cafe and took a deep breath before walking in and looking around, walking over to the table when he spotted John. He sat down across from him.

John looked up, seeing Randy sitting across from him. He smiled. "You look good." He said, taking in Randy's outfit, and hoping to get rid of the awkwardness.

Randy chuckled, smoothing his shirt out. "Thanks. You do, too," he said with a smile.

John smiled softly. "Thank you. So... I um... I was hoping we could talk about... us." He said, his nerves kicking in again.

Randy nodded. "Yeah, I figured," he said with a small smile, hoping to calm Johns nerves a bit.

John nodded. "I... I want you back. So bad. I wanna be with you again... wake up next to you, hold you and kiss you. And this past month as kicked my ass... and I got what I deserved for cheating. But I'm... I'm asking you for a second chance. Please?" He said, his voice shaky as his heart pounded inside his chest.

Randy sighed, running a hand over his head. "John, I don't know. I mean, how can I trust you after what you did? And you didn't even try and come back. I mean, it was more than once," he said, looking at John.

John looked down. "I know..." He whispered. "But I just... I had just started going the rehab for my problem, okay? I got frustrated. And I know that's not a good enough excuse but it's all I have. If... if I didn't really love you, I'd have never told you I was cheating, had sex with you and just kept it in. I'm sorry I hurt you... I don't know what to do without you." He said quietly.

Randy sighed and grabbed Johns hand. "I love you, John, and I want you back, too," he said quietly and leaned across the table, kissing John gently on the lips.

John kissed Randy back before smiling softly. "Thanks you. And.. And if I have to wait another six months to make love with you... then I'll wait. I want you, I love you, and I promise I won't make the same mistake." He whispered.
