"Because this is better for the baby young man." The instructor answere somehwta snippy

John pouted. "How would you know? EVery child is different, right? So how do you know the same breathing exercise works for every kid?" John asked, crossing his arms. Everybody was looking at yeah other and at John, realizing he actually made sense.

Belle nodded understandinly and watched the instrustor turn towards John. "These methods are proven by doctors for years." She said shortly

"But that was then and this is now." John persisted, genuinely curious. "Why are we using the same methods when everything else evolved? That doesn't make sense to me." John pouted, the rest of the class curious as well. John could be very smart when he felt like it... annoyingly smart.

"Because these come highly recommended." the instructor said losing her temper

"Recommended for every child that's ever born and s ever going to be born? That sucks. I though everybody was supposed to be different..." John trailed off.

The instructor just gave up and dismessed the class. She was fed up with this. They didn't pay her enough

John pouted and looked at Belle. "Was I really that bad?" He asked sadly.

"No they were perfectly acceptable questions Johnny." Belle said as she led the way out to the car. She wasn't sure if she and Johnny should go back to that class. Ever.

"Alright." John sighed and sat in the passenger seat. "Hey, why did you want me to be your surrogate? There were a bunch of other woman who were so much better than me... Why me?" He asked curiously.

The question stumpped her. Why Johnny? She thought about it and suddenly it came to her "For one the others I interviewed were all over the place. Even more than you. And well just something just seemed to fit." Belle couldn't explain it.

John nodded. "Okay... wait, you think I'm all over the place?" He asked, looking a little sad at that.

"Well you were. You came to the first appointment hung over." She said. She didn't mean any harm. Belle didn't mean it the way it came out and regretted it the minuet his face had a sad look on it.

"Y-Yeah... I know I can be a a hot mess. And that... you don't really like me. But I'm trying. I really am, and I hope I don't disappoint you." John said, looking down sadly at his lap, biting his lip.

His words shocked her. Truth was she did like him. "Johnny." She said shcok evident "It's not that I don't like you. Its just that this is a tough situation."

John sighed. "If you say so..." He said, sinking down in his seat and closing his eyes, drifting off.

Belle drove to a Dunkin Dounuts feeling the need for something sweet. She looked over at Johnny who was asleep. She didn't need to wake him because she knew how he liked his coffee.

John awoke, seeing and ice coffee waiting for him. He smiled. John was easy to please. The littlest thing would make him immensely happy. "You get that for me?" He asked, taking the ice coffee and sipping it.

She smiled over at him and nodded. "Any one ever tell you your such a little kid in the way you get excited?" Belle asked smiling as she sipped her blueberry hot chocolate

John chuckled and shrugged. "I'm easy to please and easy excitable. I've been told I'm like a child.... that good or bad thing?" He asked, smiling as he sipped his ice coffee.

Belle just shook her head laughing softly. "It can be both." She said as she stopped at a stop sign

John nodded. "How much longer do we gotta drive? I gotta pee... again." He pouted. "Stupid... pregnant... bladder... dammit..." John started muttering to himself.

"We are here." Belle said with a small smile as she watched Johnny run inside

John relieved himself before walking out of the bathroom, almost dropping on the couch. He chuckled when his kitten climbed on his stomach, sniffing the small, barely noticeable bump on his abdomen.

Belle couldn't help herself so she took a picture of the kitten on Johnnys chest and him smiling at the animal. The flash startled Johnny because of the look he gave her
