The Moments When We Smile, and Those Between

To say Samantha was miserable would be a massive understatement. It all started with nothing more than a headache, but with her immune system as weak as it was, she was now cooped up in bed, hardly able to move at all. She'd been able to hide how horrible she was feeling because Adam had rehearsal in the afternoons. She carefully pulled herself out of bed, Adam would be home soon, and high fever or not, he couldn't know how sick she was. She only made it a few feet away from the bed when her legs gave out from beneath her and she passed out on the hardwood floor from exhaustion.

Adam walked in tiredly "Songbird i'm home." he call softly.

Samantha lay still on the bedroom floor, beads of sweat beginning to form on her pale, fevered skin.

Adam frowned when there was no answer "Sammy baby?"

The southern brunette involuntarily shivered as she lay on the floor, her knee brace making noise as it hit the wooden floor.

Adam heard it and ran towards the sound.

The sound only got louder as Samantha's body began to shake more violently. Her Cerebral Palsy sending her into a full body spasm.
