John glared. "He just saved you and you call him sadistic? You have no idea what he's done for me!" He snapped, defending Randy.

"I could handle myself," Nolee growled, "Two more seconds and I would have had my knife buried in his stomach."

John scoffed. "I'm sure. You know what? I'm not dealing with this. I've had enough stress with you. Brett's just made your life worse. At least Randy' made mine better." He snapped, gently squeezing Randy's hand.

Nolee frowned, "How...how has Brett made my life worse? Brett loves me. He's going to propose, I just know it!"

John looked at her incredulously. "He's going to propose, huh? Then where the hell is he?!"

Nolee hung her head, "He...he's just late is all. He's probably doing a case right now at the courthouse..."

Ted just rolled his eyes.

John sighed and shrugged. "Okay. But I don't want her getting her hopes for this guy. I just don't want you to get hurt, Nolee." He said, biting his lip.

Nolee sobbed, "He's not going to show up is he?"

John bit his lip and wrapped an arm around her. "I really don't know, Nolee. Something might have happened to him... I'm sure he still loves you."

Nolee sobbed, "How could someone as pure as him love someone as used as me?"

John sighed. "Nolee, I didn't think anyone would want me for anything other than sex. But I have Randy... Nolee, you may not be clean, but your purer and much more caring and sweet than I am. Brett would be a fool to leave you. But I know he'll come back..."

"I doubt it," Nolee sighed. "You're lucky to have that assassin..."

John chuckled. "He may not be perfect, but he makes me happy." He said, looking up at Randy.

"Um, I'm just gonna throw this out there. I'm technically not an assassin," Randy said, looking between them.

John nodded slowly. "Yeah, you just enjoy killing people, you told me..." He sighed.

"Well, yeah, but sometimes I get hired. Most of the time," Randy said, glancing at Nolee. "I hire myself."

"Oh so he's just a psycopath," Nolee chuckled.

John shrugged. "Maybe, but I still wanna be with him." He said, smiling.

Nolee laughed, "Well...I'm glad you two are happy..."

Randy pouted a bit. "I take offense to that."
Ted snorted. "You take offense to everything."

John chuckled. "DOn't pout... you're too gorgeous to pout." He said, reaching on his toes and kissing Randy, ignoring Ted.

Nolee looked at Ted, "You...you said that everything precious to you got taken away...care to explain?"
