Nolee was no longer listening to Hunter. She stood up and walked into the room, sitting on the bed next to Johnny. "I'm sorry you got hurt all because of me. Thank you for trying to fend Micheal off..."

John just looked at her. "Get out..." He whispered, looking away. If this girl had ever cared about him, she wouldn't have gotten attached to that lawyer in the first place. She knew what would happen with him. So he closed up, and maintained his usual bitchy attitude.

Nolee frowned, hanging her head as she left. It seemed like everyone but Matt was blaming her for falling in love. She exited the hospital and took a walk to the bad part of town. There was a great little bar that she sometimes went to when trying to pick up clients. Sitting down she ordered a whiskey on the rocks and began to drown her sorrows.

Hunter looked at John. "You okay kid?" He asked. John shrugged, raising a brow. "Since when do you care?" John asked. Hunter sighed. "Since I almost lost the kid who's made me more money than I ever had." He said. John shook his head. "Maybe, it would have been better if I had been killed. You people don't give a shit about me anyway." he spat. Hunter closed his eyes. "Look John. I'm not doing this now. Just concentrate on getting better." He said and left the room. As soon as he was gone, John broke down crying. Matt sighed, carefully climbing into bed with John, gently pulling him to his chest as he cried.

Nolee had drank about three beers and still wasn't buzzed. She paid for another, the money she had worked so hard at earning right underneath Hunter's noise shrinking more and more as she drank her sorrows away.

Brett walked into the bar that Nolee was in and found her "Nolee?"

Nolee looked at him, suddenly ashamed as she took a drink of her whiskey, "Hey Brett. They found John. He's in the hospital right now. None of them want to see me and they all blame the fact that I met you for it. Want a beer?"

"Oh i'm sorry about your friend, is he ok?" Brett asked softly.

"He...he was raped and stabbed, they tried to kill him. He doesn't want me in there," Nolee replied softly. "Can...can I ask you a question? Why me? At the party you just looked at me, you didn't want to touch me. So it can't be my body."

"I felt something for you when i first saw you." Brett said softly.

"Why? All I am is a prostitute who was shaking her ass on the table trying to score some money." Nolee bluntly said, finishing another glass of whiskey before her drink was refilled.

Brett "I don't see you as that." he said softly.

"It's what I am. I'm a whore who does what she can for money," Nolee said, her eyes filling with tears. "My father would be so ashamed in me if he was still alive..."

Hinter walked into the bar, scowling when he saw Brett. "You need to get gone." He growled, towering over Brett.

Brett swallowed but stood his ground "I'm not going."

Nolee stood up, "You can't threaten him Hunter. He's old enough to get in here, he's old enough to stay. Plus he's keeping me company. I'm the reason that Johnny's hurt, remember?"

"You're can'r be with him. We have rules in this way of life. You can't see him." Hunter growled.

"You told me I could!" Nolee shouted, standing up and ready to fight. "You told me I could be with him at the house!"

"I said we'd talk about it later. I never said yes. Nolee, there are rules. You can't get attached."

"Hunter...I love him..." Nolee pleaded, putting her hand on Hunter's arm. "Didn't you love Steph?"

Hunter clenched his jaw and looked down. "Don't bring her into this. You wanna be with him? Fine. but not in my house..."

"What are you doing? Kicking me out? Fine. I'll move in with him," Nolee smirked. "And I'll bring her into it if I want."

"Good. Like John and Matt need to be bothered with you anyway. And you better leave her out of this..." He growled. He didn't like anyone talking about his wife...

"John and Matt are my friends!" Nolee spat back. "Stephanie would hate you if she saw you now, just like any other woman." She turned her back and started to walk back to Brett.

Hunter growled. he owned this bar. Just like the other's in the city. he turned to security. "Get that kid outta here!" He snapped, gesturing to Brett.
