Adam just nodded and closed his eyes again.

Samantha returned a few minutes later with a small plastic cup of water and three white pills. "Adam," she called softly.

"Here," Samantha said, keeping her voice gentle so not to aggravate the blonde's headache, offering him the water and medication.

"Thank you." Adam said as he quickly took the medication.

Samantha smiled. "It's all part of the job Adam," she said. "I need to talk to you about something."

"With the injury you suffered there is a chance you may have to learn to walk again," said Samantha.

"When will you know?" Adam asked.

"We won't know for sure until we think you're healed enough to be up and around, but a friend of mine will be coming in to run a few tests to see if the connection between your legs and your brain is strong enough to even attempt reteaching," said Samantha.

Samantha sat down in the chair by his bed and took his hand in hers. "Adam, I know this probably isn't easy for you to think about, it's a scary thought," she said. "but it's okay to be scared, not matter what happens I'm gonna get you through this, I meant what I said when I said I loved you."

Samantha smiled, but she was slightly confused. Part of her was still hurt because Adam left when she needed him the most. "If you love me, then why did you leave?" she asked softly.

"I left because i was afraid." Adam answered.

Samantha nodded, she could understand that. "I just needed you to be there Adam," Samantha said softly. "I felt like you turned your back on me."

Adam was about to say something when he saw somebody at the door.

Samantha looked up when she saw Idina, who rushed inside. She knew Adam and Idina had past history. Could they still be together?
