Life As He Knew It (Open)

Alex chuckled. "Not people. Your looks. How you wear your hair, how often and how much you exercise, sunglasses or no sunglasses, etcetra. And its the same with shopping. You control what you buy, how much you spend, where you shop, etcerta," he said.

John shrugged. Maybe the annoying doctor knew what he was talking about. "I shop because I can, not to control... stuff." He muttered in denial.

Alex chuckled. "Thats denial. John, you need to accept this. The only way to get is better is to listen to me. Yes, you can shop. And you control most aspects of shopping," he said.

John sigh. "Okay... so I have some issues with shopping. Its just... no one tells me what to do when I'm shopping. Even Randy didn't deny me anything I wanted. People pay 300,000 on houses... I spent it on fucking cloths." He grumbled. "Of course... he yells at me if I stare in the mirror for too long." He muttered.

"Randys got his own set of problems. We arent here to talk about him right now. Thats a little later. What I need you to do is refrain from shopping. Im not saying dont do it, just not as much. Randys got the money to buy the world so he wont deny you anything. You have to be the one to say 'No, I dont need this.' When it comes down to it, theres nothing we can control<" Alex said.

John's eye twitched. "You...but...why... i...Il tuo cazzo con me, giusto? Devi essere cazzo con me!" He growled.

"Sorry, but I dont understand Italian," Alex said, writing down some stuff.

But John didn't stop. He stood up and started pacing, ready to have a mental breakdown. "Nessuno mi dice di non fare acquisti! Tu ... non avete idea di cosa cazzo stai parlando! Non ho un problema, non ho bisogno di controllarmi! IO NON HO UN PROBLEMA!"


(Translation: No one tells me not to shop! You... you have no fucking idea what you're talking about! I don't have a problem, I don't need to control myself! I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM!)

"John, please, sit down. Dont make this harder on yourself," Alex said. He hoped this wouldnt happened but knew it probly would.

John growled but complied and sat back down. "Your annoying..." He mumbled, pouting like a child.

"Do not take your frustration out on me, John. I wont stand for that. Yes, its a part of the therapy but insulting me is childish. Now, you need to deal with the fact that you have a problem with shopping. Im going to talk to Randy and let him know," alex said coolly.

John bit his lip. "Fine! I have a problem! I shop because all my life everybody controlled me! My uncle made me do things! Even at school I was bullied and did whatever the other kids told me to! At least when I shop, no one can tell me much I spend or what I should put on! It's my credit cards, my money, my hair, my looks and I can do whatever I want with them!" John finally admitted, tears welling up behind his sunglasses.

Alex smiled. This was the reaction he was looking for. "Good, good. We're making prgress. Thats it for this week. Make another before you leave for next week and Ill see you then," he said with a smile.

john ran a hand through his hair, letting out a long breath as he made his way out of the room. He made another appointment before going over to Randy. "Let's go, baby." He said to his boyfriend.

Randy smiled at him, taking his hand and leading the way out. "You okay? I heard some yelling," he said, looking at John.

John sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. He said I have PTSD, and thats why I'm attached to material things and am obsessed with my looks." He said as he sat in the passenger seat of the car.

Randy got in the drivers seat and started the car, pulling out of the parking lot and driving back to the hotel. "Okay. Is that all? I feel like theres more I should know," he said, glancing at John from the corner of his eye.

John bit his lip. "Its complicated.... he said he'd talk to you about it." John said, sinking down in the seat and resting his head on Randy's shoulder.

"Okay then," Randy said, placing his hand on Johns thigh.

John smiled and closed his eyes. He hoped Alex wouldn't tell him about his little... fit.

Randy pulled into a spot at the hotel and turned off the car, turning to John and smiling.

John was fast asleep, both arms wrapped around Randy's. He was so tired, between his mono and spleen, he could sleep in Randy's arms for year.

Randy rolled his eyes, picking John up and carrying him inside, up to their hotel room and laying him on the bed before going into the other room and pulling out his phone. He dialed the number and put the phone up to his ear.
"I'm calling to confirm my reservation. Randy Orton for 2." He waited for a response. "Thank you," he said and hung up, smiling. He checked on Johnbefore leaving, he had something to buy.

John stirred a little when heard Randy leave, but otherwise started peacefully asleep, dreaming of a life with Randy, of moving in with him... of marrying him.

Randy arrived at the store, walking in a bit nervously. He walked up to an employee. "I need to buy a promise ring," he said. She smiled. "Of course! Right this way," she said, leading him over to a section. He was there for a half an hour before finding the right one. He paid and went back to the hotel. He walked in the room, the ring in his pocket.
