I See You Not

"You'll get better eventually," Austin sighed.

Nolee shook her head, "What he doesn't know won't hurt him Luke."

"You want someone to go with you because some of the patients are still loose in there..." Luke said.

john shrugged. "Maybe." He said quietly. "I just don't want to be here."

"Then I'll bring my pistol," Nolee replied calmly as she moved one of her pawns on the chess board. "Check."

"No one wants to be here but for the moment you need to be here."

John look down. "Fine." He murmured.

Luke sighed. "You catch 'em, don't kill 'em." He said.

"See I'm not so bad," Austin smiled.

Nolee nodded, silent.

John shrugged, resting his head on his knees. "Maybe not..." He murmured, reaching next to where Austin was sitting next to him, silently tracing patterns with his pale fingers on Austin's bicep.

Austin smiled, "Pretty day ain't it."

Nolee sighed, Luke had grown quiet again and it looked like John was getting aquainted with Austin.

"I suppose." John said, glancing around. "I don't get out much..." He murmured.

"That's gonna change," smiled Austin.

Nolee walked over underneath a tree, the temperature getting to her. She kept an eye on Johnny but rested back against the tree.

"I don't like my cell. It's cold... always cold." John sighed, glancing at Nolee before back at Austin.

"Do you need a blanket?" Austin asked.

John shrugged. "It might help. But I'm on the bottom floor. And they don't pay attention to me unless I'm having a fit." He sighed.

Austin smiled, "Have you asked Nolee?"

"I think she brought me some things... I dunno. My mind is fuzzy sometimes." John said, sighing quietly.

"It's okay," Austin smiled, "My name is Steve by the way."

John nodded. "Steve... I'll try and remember that." He said softly.

"And I know I'll remember John," smiled Steve.

John chuckled. He hadn't laughed, or even smiled in years. It felt foreign. New to him. "Not a hard name to remember." He said with a slight smile.

Austin smiled, "Not at all. Well, I have to get Luke inside. If he doesn't get sleep he gets cranky. It was nice to meet you Johnny."

Nolee stood up as she saw Vince and two of his security team walking towards her, "Can I help you Mr. McMahon?"

Vince looked at her. "I heard you told the Doctors that Mr. Hennigan will not be getting lobotomized. Well, he is. No matter what we do, he will alays be mentally ill. He will get lobotomized tomorrow morning. And the only way that won's happen, is if you helped him escaped. And you and I both know that is impossible. Good day, Miss Lacroix." He said before leaving the g=young woman with his words.

Nolee shook her head, "No...just no!" She grabbed John's arm and then looked at Steve, "You two come with me. I...we have to go..."

John squeaked as Nolee grabbed him and pulled him, Steve following. "Where are we going?" he asked with a frown, not understanding why he was being dragged.

"Vince just saw me. He...he told me that you would be getting lobotomized unless I could help you escape. Which I can. I know this place like the back of my hand. And Steve, you owe me." Nolee said softly. "I won't let Johnny get hurt..."

Steve sighed but relented. "Fine." He sighed.

John frowned. "But the only way out is the ferry, and they control it..." he said, nervously paying with a strand of his hair.

Nolee smiled, "Please...I'm a woman. It's not...it's not like I can't use that to my advantage..."
