I See You Not

John nodded. "In that camp is were I... really lost my mind. They didn't kill me because I was their experiment with insanity." He said quietly.

Nolee looked at her lap as Dr. Austin walked over, "Miss Lacroix. Good to see you and Mr. Hennigan."

Nolee smiled at John, "Tell Dr. Austin hello."

"Hello..." He mumbled quietly, keeping his eyes down on the ground.

Nolee looked at Luke, "Good to see you Luke. How are the treatments going?"

Dr. Austin looked at John, "You don't like people do you?"

John shook his head slightly, the action so small you could have missed it. "No." He whispered, wrapping his arms around himself.

Luke smiled, more social than John. "Good. My mind feels... clearer."

Dr. Austin smiled, "I'm not like the other doctors."

"Good. A bright young man like you will be out of here in no time," Nolee smiled.

Luke nodded and sighed. "Yeah. But lets hope I don't screw up. You get out once, but not twice. Never twice."

John shrugged. "I just... don't really like people in general." He said quietly.

Nolee nodded, "That's true...well, you're a good man. You'll be out in no time."

Dr. Austin nodded, "I'm sorry."

John sat down on a bench. "Not your fault." He murmured. "I'm used to... isolation."

"That will change. You're in the hands of one of the best doctors in the world, she's a prodigy," Dr. Austin nodded.

John pursed his lips. "That means nothing. Because I still hear things, and I still see things..." He whispered. "I don't like Doctors..."

"Give her time," Austin nodded. "She's not like other doctors. Well, we aren't like other doctors. I don't believe in the same methods."

John nodded and looked down. "I just... want to get out of here. Whether Nolee says yes or no... they're going to lobotomize me..." He whispered.

"She won't let them. In France, she literally threw herself over one of her patients," Dr. Austin laughed.

John shrugged. "That was France. I've heard that the Doctors, if they can't lobotomize, will just gas the patient out..." He murmured quietly.

"I have a feeling Nolee will do anything to convince them otherwise," Dr. Austin nodded, looking at where Nolee was talking and playing chess with Luke.

"You're good at this!" Nolee laughed.

luke shrugged and smiled. "I have a lot of time on my hands."

John nodded, looking at the two. "If you say so." He murmured.

Nolee nodded, "So...what can you tell me about the Catacombs. I know that's where they first put you."

Dr. Austin nodded, "You're not jealous of Luke are you?"

John blinked. "Jealous? Of what?" He asked, cocking his head to the side.], a little confused.

Luke sighed. "It's a place where you don't want to be. It's for the most dangerous patients. The cells are smaller, if possible. It's pitch black, and that alone makes the patient go even crazier if possible. I wanted to kill myself. Him," Luke said, pointing to John. "You better hope he doesn't get in there. The poor kid, you won't ever get him out."

Dr. Austin smiled, "He's getting out soon. Plus it looks like little miss France is flirting."

Nolee frowned, "Thank you for telling me Luke..."

John shrugged. "I'm not interested in her." He murmured. "And I've excepted the fact that the only way I'm getting out of here is escape. And that is impossible." He said.

Dr. Austin shrugged, "Maybe not."

Nolee paused for a moment, "Where's the entrance to the catacombs?"

"Ward C is the Catacombs. The Entrance is on the eastern side. Why?" Luke asked.

John pulled his knees o his chest. "I wish I had died a long time ago." He murmured.

"Because I'm going to go down there and see for myself," Nolee bravely said.

"No ya dont' kid," Austin sighed.

John raised brow. "And why is that?"

Luke shook his head. "You need the Warden to go down with you." He said.
