Heath has to admit, he's a little surprised that John even noticed anything was wrong. Maybe he wasn't quite as self-absorbed as Heath had first assumed. "It's not too bad, all things considered." He orders himself an unsweetened iced tea, flashing the waitress a bright smile.

John nodded and looked up at the waitress, flashing his gorgeous smile. The waitress blinked at him, hypnotized for a second by John before she regained her composure. John mentally smirked before ordering his food.

Heath orders his meal, a simple grilled chicken Caesar salad. It's fairly late and he doesn't want anything heavier than that.

Once the waitress is gone, he falls silent. He fusses with his hair, puling it free and then tying it back again.

"Keep it down." John said, not even looking up as he fidgeted with his phone. He sorta knew what Heath was doing without even looking. It was one of his... stranger talents. He simply looked down at his phone, texting god knows who.

Heath rolls his eyes. He hated it when people couldn't get through one meal without whipping out their cellphone. He knew he had a knack for being on the phone at the worst possible moment, but to be out with someone and not even able to look them in the eye was the height of rudeness in Heath's eyes.

Still, it wasn't like this was a date or anything. Better to have John texting than for the insults to start flying again.

John eventually put away his phone, getting bored with it. He looked up at Heath, biting his lip. He really didn't know what to say. They didn't really have a lot of things in common. "So uh... those high flying moves you did... I was impressed." John started.

Of all the things he'd been expecting to hear... that wasn't it. Heath takes a sip of his water, to buy some time. "Really? Well thanks. I ain't as good as you or Justin, but I can hold my own in the air. That Starship Pain of yours is pretty awesome. I always liked that bit where you slid between the first and second ropes to kick a dude."

John chuckled a little. "Yeah.. it's uh, it's difficult to do, but it's effective. You should be careful though, doing high flying moves. It's dangerous if it's not your style. It comes easy to me though. I have the background." He said before sipping his water.

"Hey now, I can hold my own during high flying moves just fine. Don't you worry about me." Heath smiles slightly, sipping his drink.

John chuckled and nodded. "Fair enough." He said. "But I'm a horrible brawler. I stick to flying." He said with a smile.

"Well hell, those kicks of yours have knocked out more than one son of a bitch," Heath points out. "And you were ECW champion.

John chuckled. "I remember ECW... I was a blond and I was more of a bitch than I am now." He chuckled. "And I remember bedazzling my abs..."

Heath laughs softly. "Yeah, that probably wasn't your best look, but it certainly made you stand out. Hell, Justin and I used to watch your matches like they were homework, just tryin' to pick stuff up, naw mean?"

John chuckled. "You used to watch my matches, huh? Well back then, all I did was run my mouth and shake my hips. I wasn't really much to study." He said, twirling his hair a little.

"Hey now, you were busting out some pretty awesome moves back then. You still are." Heath nods. The hips used to be pretty damn fun to watch, but after all they've put themselves through in the past couple weeks, Heath's not thinking about Johnny that way at all anymore.

John chuckled. "Yeah, I guess so..." He sighed. "But to be honest with you... I kinda miss doing the dance." He chuckled, blushing slightly.

Heath shrugs. "Well hell, nothing's stopping you from doing it. I'm sure the fans would get a kick out of that too."

"I think I'm too.. old and mature for that. But who knows... maybe I'll do it after a match." John chuckled, thanking the waitress when their food arrived. "But uh.. wrestling was my second choice as a career path." He said as he poked through his food.

"Really?" Heath arches an eyebrow. "I've wanted to do this since I was seven years old. Before that I wanted to be a fire truck." He laughs softly, shaking his head at the memory. "What were you doing before this? Gymnastics, right?" He nibbles on his meal, surprisingly delicately.

John nodded, smiling slightly after he took a bite and swallowed. "Yep... I was an elite gymnast. i miss the spirt. But I love wrestling." He said before sipping his water.

"Wow." Heath nods. "That's pretty awesome." He shrugs. "Like I said, I can't really imagine my life without wrestling. Its the only thing I've ever seriously wanted to do."

"Yeah... but I would have stayed with gymnastics if I could." John said, shrugging slightly. "I miss it."

"So why can't you go back?" Heath frowns. If it was something he really wanted, then Heath can't understand why in the hell he's in the wrestling business in the first place. The concept of busting your ass, traveling for days on end and putting your body on the line... why do it if you don't want it?

John sucked in a breath. "I uh... I had an accident. It ended my gymnastics career. By the time I was healed, it was too late. I had to learn a whole new career. I wish I could go back, but I'm passed the age and while I may be in the history books, I'm over in the gymnastic world." He sighed.

"So you started wrestling just because? I really don't get it, John. It's not like this business does your body any favors, so why are you in it?" He doesn't ask the questions out of cruelty, he honestly doesn't understand what John has to gain from such a punishing career choice.
