Pity The Child

Kristen nodded. "You should go back to sleep Johnny, you need your rest."

"Mmkay..." John murmured before instantly falling fast asleep.

Kristen smiled and started taking the tray off her chair so she could sleep as well.

John was fast asleep, cuddling up to Kristen when he felt her slip into bed as well.

Kristen smiled and quickly drifted off as well.

John awoke in the morning, feeling a little better though his nose was still stuffed. He sniffled and sat up, stretching as his eyes searched for Kristen, not seeing her in the bedroom.

To hand-crafted beers made in local breweries
To yoga, to yogurt, to rice and beans and cheese
To leather, to dildos, To curry Vindaloo
To Huevos Rancheros and Maya Angelou

Kristen sang softly as she cleaned up the kitchen, not knowing John was awake.

John wandered into the kitchen, smiling sleepily as he listened to Kristen sing. "Good way to wake me up." He chuckled, sitting at the table, resting his head on the tabletop.

Kristen smiled. "Morning Johnny, you sleep okay?" she asked.

John nodded. "Yep. I dreamt that I had a goldfish named Johnny Nitro." He chuckled.

Kristen chuckled. "Wow Johnny........" she said. "I'm surprised my cell didn't wake you."

John shrugged. "Why would it wake me up?" He asked, pouring himself some coffee.

"It's been ringing all morning, Amberlynn is having one of her perfectionism fits," said Kristen.

John chuckled. "Oh, I'm the biggest perfectionist you'll ever meet. Unless I'm injured or sick, my looks and appearance has to be perfect. Especially my hair." He said.

Kristen nodded. "I used to be that way, now not so much."

John nodded. "Well, I'm gonna to take a shower." He said, wondering into the bathroom.

Kriste nodded, humming as she continued to clean.

John sang as he showered, his perfect (but again, he didn't thnk so) voice floating through the air as he sang one of his favorite songs. He always thought of his ex as he did...

Kristen smiled when she heard John. He sounded amazing.

John finished his shower, and picked some cloths from his suitcases to get dressed. He blow dried his hair, and was finally ready before he walked in the living room, plopping down on the couch.

By that point, Kristen was seated in the living room, watching a tape of one of her old dance routines

John smiled as he saw Kristen dance. "Wow... you were amazing." He said, almost in awe as he watched the tape.

"I like to go back and watch these, just to try to remember what it felt like," said Kristen.

John nodded. "I watch my old routines too... Except for one." He sighed.

"The day you got hurt?" Kristen asked.
