My Kinda Party

Carter nodded, "Why? Don't like it?"

John shook his head. "Up here, we like foot ball. I'm a Patriots fan." He said with a smile. "Who's your favorite baseball team?" He asked.

"Kansas City Royals," smirked Carter. "I like football too. Yer gonna be hard pressed to find a sport I don't like."

John nodded. "Do you watch the Olympics?" He asked.

Carter smiled, "Every year."

John nodded. "I remember watching it as a kid. I was the gymnastics routines, and I looked at my father and said, 'Daddy, I wanna do that.' And he sad to me, 'Then you'll do it.'" He sighed. "I was close."

"Hey no sad thoughts," Carter said, wrapping an arm around him.

John smiled. "I know, I'm trying." He said, taking a couple deep breaths.

Carter held him close, "Wanna watch cartoons? Cartoons always make me feel better..."

John laughed at that. "Yeah, why not. I haven't watched cartoons in years." He said with a smile, settling against Carter's chest as he watched the screen.

Carter turned on the Loony Tunes, "There my favorites."

John chuckled. "You're so adorable."

"What? I grew up on Loony Tunes. Have to say my favorite is Foghorn Leghorn," Carter smirked.

John smiled. "I never really watched cartoons a lot. My focus was school and gymnastics."

Carter looked like a bullet had been put through his chest, "No cartoons!?"

John blinked at him. "It's not that I wasn't allowed. I just didn't really have time- And why are you looking at me like I just shot you?" He asked, folding his arms.

"Cartoons are a staple of childhood. At least tell me yeh played video games...."

John shook his head. "A little... not too much really." He said.

"That's it, we're buying yeh an X-Box and we're playin' games!" Carter said, getting up off the bed.

John blinked. "Now?" he asked, getting up as well.

"Yes now," Carter rolled his eyes. "No yeh r-tard. I gotta piss."

John shook his head, chuckling slightly. "I'm not retard." He pouted, sticking his tongue out at Carter before disappearing in his closet to get dressed.

Carter smirked, using the rest room and then walking back out to see the end credits of a Loony Tunes cartoon. "Babe! Yeh in yeh closet?"

"Yeah!" John called, slipping on some jeans over his silk boxers.

Carter smiled and walked over, wrapping his arms around his waist. "Plans fer the day?"
