Aftermath

John put on his shades, putting his stuff in the back before getting into passenger seat, sinking down in the seat. He had always been a morning person, but not today.

"Think we got time for a coffee?" Heath asks hopefully.

John smiled, and pulled Heath over to a Starbucks. As if he himself could go without his Frappuccino and maple scone in the morning.

Heath gets Johnny's order, then grabs a venti coffee and a breakfast sandwich for himself. The timing is going to be close on their flight, but hopefully it'll all work out.

They ate at a table. They finished their food before they're flight was announced for boarding. He finished his coffee, grabbing Heath's hand as they went to the metal detectors.

All Heath wants is to curl up on the plane and fall asleep for a while. The white noise of the engines has always been pretty soothing to him and he needs sleep pretty badly right now. "You want the window or aisle?" He asks, yawning hugely, barely getting his hand up to cover his mouth in time.

"Aisle." he said, letting Heath get in and sit down before he sis down himself. Out of the the corner of his eyes, he could see a man... with a seeing eye dog. He looks up at the ceiling as if looked at God. "Really? You do this to me now?" He said before he started sneezing hysterically.

Heath glances over, barely keeping his eyes open. "You got any of those pills left?" He asks blearily.

Johns hook his head. "Just...*sneeze*...sleep." he said, burying his face in Heath's shoulder, trying block himself from the dog. He sniffed, his nose stuffed.

"I won't be able to sleep with you sneezin'," Heath rolls his eyes, summoning the stewardess. When he informs her of the situation, she lets him know that there's an extra spot available in first class. "John, you head up front. You'll be able to stretch your leg out better and believe me, I'm just gonna be sleeping the whole time. Go up there, relax, have a glass of champagne or something," he smiles.

John didn't even disagree, following the lady to first class. He pulls his legs to his chest, resting his head against the window, and falls asleep.

John hasn't disappeared behind the curtain before Heath falls into a deep sleep.

John had nightmares. Of his ex, Matt Hardy. Of Matt leaving him... of cheating on him. He hadn't realized he was crying and screaming in his sleep. Yelling for Matt not to leave, walk out on him, people on the plane staring at him.

The stewardess finally manages to wake Heath up and he goes over to Johnny, trying to wake him up.

John awakes, gasping and panting, sweat covering his forehead. He looks at Heath. "S-Shit... s-sorry, go to s-sleep..." He whispered, his body still trembling slightly.

"Not a chance of that," Heath sighs, settling into the seat beside John. "You get some rest."

John sniffed, and rested his head in Heath's shoulder, pulling his knees to his chest, falling back asleep.

Heath dozes off, but it's a light and fitful sleep; he's worried about another nightmare and he's too damn wound up to get any proper rest.

John slept peacefully through the whole plane ride. John awoke when the plane landed, and shook Heath awake as well.

"Fuckin' already?" Heath is feeling tired and irritable from the lack of sleep and it's showing in his shortened temper and fouler language. During the disembarking, he tries not to fidget impatiently.

John raised a brow. "Don't be a jackass. You can sleep at the hotel." He said as the plane lands.

"I gotta get to the show, I've got a match." Heath sighs. "You head to the hotel, I'll catch some z's in the change room." He tries to smile. "Wrangle us some dinner, we'll make a date night of it."

john smiled softly. "You don't have to do that. When you get back, you sleep. Then eat you want. Don't argue." He said, standing the pilot said the okay.

"How about we play it by ear? Sometimes I'm pretty wound up after a show." He leans in to whisper in John's ear. "Promise to watch me, Darlin'?"

John smiled softly. "Of course I will, darlin'. I could just come with you, and if I feel tired, I'll lay down in the Corre dressing room... that is if they don't mind. You know Ezekiel Jackson scares the shit outta me." He said, shuddering at the thought of the huge man.
