A New Life In The Wake Of Pain

"Why did you think that i deserved that or that i cheated on Chris?" Alex asked but he knew the the answer and felt sick to his stomach.

"He told me....what you did and then he told me what I could do to help..." Quaid felt his blood boil.
This was all Chris's fault.

Alex closed his eyes feeling even betrayed then when he caught Chris cheating on him "He told you to rape me?" he asked softly, barely about to get the words out.

Quaid nodded.
"Yeah, he put the idea in my head, got some liquor in me and whoop Di damn do...." He was so fucking pissed...
He would kill Chris...
He was serious...

Alex nodded slowly as he slowly closed his eyes.

"I still wanna help you raise it...Please..."
He never begged and he didnt want to now but this would be a kid...
His kid...

Alex nodded slowly "This will strickly be about the baby, nothing else." he said softly.

Quaid nodded quickly.
"Of coarse, I have a boyfriend anyways." He nodded to Alex.

Alex nodded as he rested his hand on his stomach.

"So how should we do this? I mean...Should I move in here or something?" He wanted the man to be comfortable.
He didnt even know his name...

"I don't know." Alex said softly "I'm not sure... You said your name was Quaid right?" Alex asked softly.

He nodded.
"And whats your name? Im Quaid McDaniel's...Quaid Ivory McDaniel's."
He was named that because when he was born he was so white...his skin was an ivory color...

"I'm Alex... Alex Shelley." Alex said softly, his body language showing how nervous he still was.

Quaid nodded with a small sigh.
"So, should I come in or what?"

"Umm.... Yeah sure.... I guess......" Alex said as he moved to let Quaid in.

Quaid stepped into the room and looked around, rubbing the back of his neck.
This was one of the most awkward situations ever.

"So..... Ummm......" Alex said awkwardly "How.... I mean...... Are...."

"Look, we will have to learn to live together or something. We have got to make this work even if we don't like each other..." He sighed.

Alex nodded slowly "Yes we do for the baby's sake." he said softly.

"Okay so...Should I move in here or you move in with me? Or what?" He really wasnt sure about anything.

"Well i have a guest room you could stay in." Alex said "But i think i'm going to need to find a bigger place for when the baby's born.

"Okay, I can help, I get good pay..." He would have to move his things in later, right now he just wanted to get on equal ground.

Alex nodded "Ok..." he said before asking "When are you wanting to move in?"

"Maybe tomorrow sometime...I think im okay for right now." He popped his neck. "How is the baby?"

"Fine i think, i have to go see the doctor soon for the first visit." Alex said.
