Red Eyes and Tears (For Nolee)

John smiled cooly at Nolee. "Nothing, officer. Nothing." He almost purred again, which was a habit, before he took another sip of his drink.

Nolee sighed, taking her glass of water and swishing the ice around in her cup before drinking it. "You two have a nice night. I'm going on up to bed."

John shrugged and finished off his drink. "Keep 'em coming And make sure no one takes me to their car."

Sheamus smiled, "As you wish fella."

John got pretty tipsy. He was sitting in on of the booths, a man trying to take him home. "C'mon hon, lemme buy you another drink and take you to my car..." The man purred, squeezing John's thigh. John shook his head. "No.. stop..." He slurred as the man continued to feel him up and take him outside. "Fine... I offered to pay you. Looks like I'll just have to take it from you..." He hissed and started to undo John's pants, John struggling as much as he could in his drunken stupor, tears falling down his cheeks. Not again.

Nolee had come downstairs to check on the bar, noticing the man harrassing the young man she had found on the street. She pulled her gun, "Hands up! I'm an officer of the law!"

John's assaulter put his hands up in an instant before he made a run for it, throwing John to the ground. John groaned, struggling to button up his pants. He was used to this. It happened on a nightly basis.

Nolee, who never went anywhere without her handcuffs sneered, "Your comin with me ya jerk. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law."

The man just growled but let himself be cuffed.
John took shaky breaths, pressing himself against the wall. He closed his eyes. He fucking hated this.

Sheamus had headed downstairs when he heard Nolee shout, "Yeh okay fella?"

Nolee headed to the precint, not caring that she was in her pajamas.

John looked up at Sheamus from his seat on the ground. "She l-left. SHe'll b-be back l-later..." He stuttered out.

"I didn't ask how she was fella. How are you feelin?" asked Sheamus with a smile.

John shrugged shakily. "Could be better." He whispered, wiping his tear stain cheeks.

"I'm sorry that man tried to do that to you," Sheamus sighed. "Usually if we trust the men, we let them let theirselves out. He will no longer be welcome here."

John just looked down. "It's fine. I'm used to it." He sighed.

"Well you shouldn't be," Sheamus sighed. "It'll change when you wait tables here."

Nolee sighed as she sat waiting for the guy to go through processing. It was always the same with men who were 'assaulters' as she had to say to keep John safe. They were put in over night if they were found drunk and then let go.

John slowly got up. "If.. if you say so." He said lowly. It's be nice not to have to go through what he did every night.

"Waiting tables is easy," Sheamus smiled, "Tending the bar is hard."

"I've bar tended before. In a... seedier part of town." John said, looking down at his feet.

"Hey don't sweat it. I started out living in the ghetto," Sheamus laughed.

John nodded. "Yeah. So um, can you call me a cab so I can get home? I don't think Nolee wants me to stay in her place." He said.

"Oh no, if she brought you here that means she wanted you to stay. Trust me, she doesn't just help out short period," Sheamus laughed, "She tends to help long term."

John looked down. "Daddy is gonna be mad." He said quietly. Everyone who knew the prostitution business knew that 'Daddy' was a codename for 'pimp'.

"Which one is he?" Sheamus asked nonchalantly.

"Dave Batista. If I'm not back at the house soon he'll be pissed." John said nervously.
