"Yes," Randy replied quietly. "He was." It pained Randy to think of him but when he looked at John, it was like there was a light at the end of the tunnel, a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. John was going to change his life and Thorn's life. Speaking of... "I'm sure you'd like to meet Thorn officially. I can go get him," he said and walked from the room without an answer. He didn't want John to ask what happened.

Thorn raises his head again from his studies. He'd heard the door open and shut in the quiet and the low tenor of two voices talking back and forth. He closed his eyes and concentrated on his bond with Randy; letting out a sigh when he felt the lightness in his mood but then frowning when picked up on the vibe of the other person.

Quietly he left his study and moved through the hall; the moonlight spilling through the slats on the windows and bathing him in stripped light. The closer he got to the voices the more he could pick up on them and what they were saying, then it hit him; the smell of the man in the park. His eyes gleamed as he quickened his pace, stopping when he seen that Randy was putting him in Jason's room.

It probably wasn't the best idea but he wasn't going to butt in. In fact he wasn't even going to confront them tonight; he'd wait until the morning and then make his presence known to the two young men.

Randy hadn't noticed Thorn, too distressed by the memories of Jason and the conflicting feelings John gave him. He walked to the study, frowning when he saw that he wasn't in there. He sighed, running a hand over his face and sitting in Thorn's chair, sighing at the warmth. Thorn was always so level headed and calm, and sometimes, it made Randy want to punch him in the face to see what he would do. Randy would never do that, of course. He cared for Thorn far too much. Randy looked around the study, feeling increasingly tired. He closed his eyes and extended his long legs before falling asleep.

At some point Thorn wandered back into his study and found Randy curled up in his chair and while it might be overly comfortable to sit in he wasn't so sure about it being comfortable to sleep in. Gently but without struggle he picked up Randy and moved through the home, stepping into his room and laying Randy down on the bed and covering him a blank

He watched over Randy for a moment before pressing a kiss to Randy's forehead. Sowly he pulled away and watched as Randy slept; trying to get ahold of the situation now that the man from the park was now under his roof.

Randy didn't wake when Thorn moved him, nor he did stir. He was dreaming peacefully of a time when heartache was not so abundant within him.

He did, however, feel Thorn's gaze on him through the bond.

Thorn was in Randy's dream as well. He played the part of his best friend, the person that he could trust with his life, the person he could turn to in the event of a crisis. Though, in his dream he always called him Kevin instead of Thorn, like they had been friends since they were little. Though, Thorn's part in Randy's dream was very similiar to his part in Randy's life. THe man was his best friend, and his lover as well. He didn't know what was going to happen now that John was in the picture.

John nlooked around the room. It was big. Wasn't at all like John's taste though. He shrugged and stripped to his boxers before sliding under the covers. He tried to sleep, but he couldn't knowing there were two vampires down the hall. Two... creatures that could kill him instantly if he wanted to. But one of those creatures had saved him... John wouldn't forget that. Even if he was confused and scared, he was thankful for that. And Thorn... when the man but him, John was oddly turned on by it. He sighed and closed his eyes. He needed sleep, after the ngiht he had. He curled up under the covers, falling into a fitful sleep.

Night had always been Kevin's friend even before he'd been transformed; so for him to walk the halls at night was nothing new for him. He listened to the soft sounds of the two slumbering men and gathered his thoughts. They'd not had a human under their roof for a while; not since Jason and while he personally didn't care if one stayed he was more worried about Randy's mental state.

The man was clearly alike Jason in looks only; the difference in personality would be the deal breaker for Randy once the initial shock of the situation wore off. He rubbed his temples as he traced the waning mooning across the sky. Randy had never been the most stable of persons and that went for when he was part of the human race; but he was Thorn friend and lover and he wasn't going to let him hurt.

The question was however; with the human under the roof how would the dynamic change for them? With a hiss he moved away from the window and after grabbing his long leather trench coat he merged with the shadows of the night and took a long walk to clear his mind; too many thoughts and wonderments swirling through his head. One thing for certian was that the human slumbering in his home was one of exceptional looks; even if he wasn't one to put much stocks into the looks of his meals.

Randy woke a while later, though it was still dark out. He didn't sleep very often, because he didn't need to. He only slept in times of great stress or pressure. And that was not often. Randy was as laid back as he was impulsive. It all depends on the situation and his mental state.

He got up, taking a quick shower and getting dressed in some clean clothes before leaving the room and walking down the hall. He wondered where Thorn was. He focused on the bond between them and found that he was doing quite a bit of thinking, but he was okay. He smiled softly and walked back up the hallway to John's room.

Randy entered the room silently, sitting in a chair in the darkest corner of the room. His eyes scanned the room. The room was so familiar, for he had been in it many times before. After he had... killed Jason (something that would always be hard for him to admit, even in his own mind), he spent many days and nights just laying in Jason's bed, thinking about his deceased lover and crying.

But that was then, and this is now. He was moving on. His eyes landed on John and he saw that the younger man was in a fitful sleep. He frowned, but didn't make any movements.

Randy had spent many nights in that chair as well, when Jason was alive. He would sit there and watch him sleep and in the morning, when Jason awoke and saw Randy, a wide smile spread across both of their faces.

Randy wondered, as he watched John, what was going to happen now that John was there. He wondered what things were going to change, especially when it came to him and Thorn. They had a weird relationship, but a solid one that he didn't want to mess up by bringing a human into it. He sighed and hoped that everything would work out.

John eventually awake, but was still too tired to open his eyes. John slept a lot, with the stress of his job, which was being a gymnast. It was his career he had worked so hard at.

But John wasn't thinking of that. He was thinking of Randy. It was obvious that John looked like Randy's past lover. What happened to Jason, John didn't know. But John knew he would refuse to be a replacement.

John would not be a toy, an infatuation for a couple of vampires to play around with because he was a look alike. And that's how Randy made him feel so far. He had mentioned Jason multiple times.

How he looked like him, how he sounded like him. But John was not Jason. He was probably the opposite. And John hoped that once Randy realized that John was his own person, not some clone, that he wouldn't kill him.

John sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He jumped slightly when he saw Randy sitting in a chair, and probably was watching him sleep. "Um... good morning." He said, running a hand through his silky hair as he yawned.

"Not really," Randy replied flatly. Randy stuck very close to his beliefs, the few that he had. He wouldn't just play around with a person. At least, not in his house. Thorn had absolutely nothing to do with Randy's decision. That was something Randy made all by himself.

Randy stood up, looking at John. "I'll make you breakfast. What kind of food do you like?" he asked.

Yes, Randy thought about Jason a lot, and after seeing John, that was intensified. Now, he also talked about him a bit as well. But Jason was the past, and as much as it hurt, Randy knew that. He wasn't looking for a replacement, because Jason couldn't be replaced. But he was looking for someone to... Fill the void. Sure, he had Thorn. He loved Thorn very dearly. But Thorn... Had his ways of showing how he felt, and Randy had his. He just hoped that people would understand that he wasn't looking for another Jason.

John blinked at Randy's flat reply. "Um.. I don't usually eat breakfast. I have to be somewhere in like... less than an hour." He said as he glance at the time. Being a gymnast was rough, but he did love the sport.

It was risky, John had been through many injuries. But he always back. He had a strict diet and sometimes skipped breakfast for lack of time or appetite. He tried to eat, knowing he needed to be healthy. But sometimes he simply couldn't. Quitting gymnastics was something that weighed heavily on his mind. What it would be like to simply... relax. But he always shooed that thought away in order to win.

"Okay, then. Kill yourself slowly. Whatever works for you," Randy said and walked out of the room without waiting for a reply. Randy was very... strict when it came to what he believed and if you did something that was the opposite of that, he took offense to it. He didn't know why, he was just that way.

Randy walked back into his room and sat on his bed, letting out a soft sigh. He vaguely wondered where Thorn was, and what he was doing. Sometimes, that man could be up to no good. That's part of the reason Randy decided to travel with him.

John had a 'WTF?' look on his look. He shook his head and got his bag together for his training. If this is how Randy was because John didn't live the same way he did, then John would gladly forget about this little supernatural experience, get his own condo and be gone out of the vampires life forever. John did not deal with assholes, he had dealt enough of them to last him five lifetimes.

He sighed, grabbing his bag and headed out the room and towards the door. He'd have to take a cab, as his car was back at the house... though he lost the keys anyway. H shrugged it off. He could win another competition, place first and he'd have himself a new place.

His walk had led him to the river where he watched the day break upon the earth. His thoughs hadn't calmed down and he could feel Randy searching for him through their link. The call wasn't urgent nor was it calm, but then with Randy nothing was. He wrapped his coat about him and headed back; his stomach growling a bit but it was easily ignored as there was blood back at the house.

He let himself into the house and into his room, tossing his coat to the side then heading into the kitchen for something to drink.

Randy heard the door open and close twice, and felt that Thorn was back. He sighed softly. He knew he was a dick, but he just couldn't help it. He was impulsive. He acted before he thought. He was that way even when he was human. It was something everyone tried to change, but no one has been able to. He felt bad every now and then when he was an asshole, but only to Thorn. And apparently, now John. He got up, walking towards the sound of Thorn. He entered the kitchen, chuckling when he saw him looking for blood. "Hungry again, yeah?" he teased as he leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms. Randy fed the night before, and that would probably last him another day or two. Killing a person you're feeding off of helped keep you full, especially since you aren't just taking a little bit of the blood. Thats one reason Randy killed when he fed.

Kevin looked away from his drink and frowned sligthly before tossing it back. It wasn't so much that he was hungry hungry, but thinking always had a way of making drink more than when he was just reading or doing nothing at all. Instead of answering Randy he bared his fangs and took his empty cup, filled it and locked himself away in his study. Granted he knew that it wouldn't help anything, the problem would still be there but for awhile at least he could ignore it and lose himself in his books.

One by one he lit the candles and even went so far as to light some dragon's blood incense; hoping that the soft flickering light and calming smell would help him reach a decision. However he was more worried that the answer he got wouldn't be the one that he wanted.

John returned back tot he house at around 3:30. His body ached from doing routines over and over. His wrists felt like they would snap from hanging on the high bars for so long. His back burned, and his legs were the worst. He quietly made his way back to his room, hoping Randy would ignore him. He set his bag down and laid down n the bed.

He loved what he did but one day it would kill him... that is if the vampires he was living with didn't. He was still annoyed about what had happened between him and Randy this morning. Usually, he wold have drank to try and forget about it. But John was in nor mood for a hangover the next morning. He said, curling up in a ball on top of the covers.

After Thorn had gone into his study, Randy sighed. He hadn't meant to upset his friend. He had just wanted to talk to him. He ran a hand over his face before he, too, locked himself into a room, though it was his bedroom. He looked around, unsure of what to do. His eyes grazed over his sketchbook and pencils and he looked at them, biting his lip. It had been a while since he drew, and he missed it. He got up, grabbing the stuff before sitting on his bed again and flipping open to a new page. He took a deep breath and began to draw, losing track of time and reality. He only snapped back into it when he heard the door open and close and smelt John. He sighed, thinking about getting up and going to see him, but deciding against it.

Hours and slight migrane later Thorn unlocked himself from his imposed banishment. His mind a bit clearer but not enough to give him a direction on which way their situation should go. He walked through the house, taking time and picking up on the subtle vibes that were moving slowly.

Randy was working in his room and he knew that he'd stop by later to make up for the jerkish way he'd left the younger Vampire. Right now he was focusing on the other, more pulsationg vibe in the home. He'd not had any contact since he fed from the human in park and he figured it was about time to introduce himself. After all the young man already knew their secret, so it wasn't like he had to hide what he was.

Gently he rapped at the door, waiting quietly as he started to forumlate the words in his head.

John was taping his wrists as he sat on the bed, the joints aching from his training. The house was quiet. It kind of freaked John out. He had tried to calm his nerves since he entered the house. But every little noise made him jump. The how situation of living with a couple vampires made him uncomfortable. But he was sure he could get used to it... someday... maybe. He shook his head of his running thoughts when he heard a knock on the door.

He got up and walked over, opening the door and seeing the same vampire that had drank from him, Thorn eh believed his name was. The one who had turned him on somewhat when he had fed from John on the park. He couldn't deny the man had attracted him even though he had attacked him at the same tim.

"oh, um... hi." John said nervously, running a hand through his hair.

Kevin nodded. "Hello. I come to offer my apologizes for not seeking you out earlier and formally introducing myself to you." He bows slighly to John. "My name is Kevin Thorn. I'm the Patron vampire in this home. Meaning that while Randy comes and goes as he pleases all things go through me first. I care for the household, keep things running smoothly and most of all keep from the other humans from finding out that we exist. I'm sure you can understand why." He straightens and smiles a bit at John. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you want, we keep odd hours at time, but I'm sure you know that and while you're under our roof we won't feed from you, unless of course you ok it."

Thorn moved pask John to stand in the room, sadness creeping in as he remembered the other occupant of it and his lively disposition. He'd never had any dealings with Jason other than a healthy connection over books and he did miss the converstations that they'd had over the years. With a sigh he turned and faced John again.

"If you like you can rearrange this room to your tastes. Just leave me a list of the things you'll need and I'll procure them for you." He smiled again and nodded to John before breezing from the room, his stomach growling at him for sustenance. "I must however bade you a good day for a bit as I have some things I have to take care of. You have free reign of the house, so explore if you like."

John nodded, "Okay then, guess I'll see you later. And thank you." He said quietly.

He hoped he could get used to this house. John was generally a happy person. And he was sure once he got used to the house and it's residents that he'd be able to be himself. John had a feeling he'd be here for a while, as he hated living alone.

He looked around the room. It was definitely not his tastes. At all. It was slightly country styled. The furniture looked vintage, old and rustic. He wrinkled his nose slightly. The comforter had quilts on it and the comforter was some green color. He looked in the closet. Definitely not big enough for his vast collection of cloths. Which is why John had refrained from brining all his cloths.

If he could have his way with the room, the room would be contemporary. He'd pain the walls white and bright, modern art on the walls, not the old stuff. The bed would be platform, and the he'd have Egyptian cotton sheets with a modern, black comforter. The chairs would be replaced with a modern futon. He walked over to the chair that Randy had been sitting in earlier. He pursed his lips. So not his tastes.

Kevin's next stop was at Randy's door. He pushed it open and watched the young man sketching. It had been a while since he'd seen him draw and secretly it made him happy to see it again. He didn't need to talk, he knew that Randy could feel him there and for him to have ignored him for that long was really just a testiment how mad he was.

With a gentle sigh Kevin moved over and placed his hands on Randy's shoulder, kneading softly as he leaned down to murmur in Randy's ear.

"I'm sorry Randall, I didn't mean to bite your head off earlier." He left a kiss to the side of Randy's neck before straightening and leaving a kiss to his forehead. "I'm going to be going out hunting later, do you want to go with me?"

Randy was drawing Thorn, his face calm like he normally was when said person walked in. Randy knew he was there, knew that he was staring at him but he didn't care. There was no reason for Thorn to have taken something so trivial and blew it up. Then again, Thirn didn't anger easy, so he knew something was up.

When Thorn walked over to him, he was tempted to get up and cross the room. But that wouldn't help anything so he forced himself to stay. When he touched him, Randy actually calmed a bit, the older man always having that power over him. He sighed and set the sketchbook down, looking at him.

"Yeah, I should feed tonight. I don't need to, but with John here, I don't want to risk anything. And I'd appreciate it if you left Jasons room as is. I drew up some sketches for a room of his own and I'm going to give him my art room and move all my art stuff in here and in Jason's room," Randy replied, sighing slightly. It's not like he used the room all that much anyways. "Let me know when you're ready," he added, starting to draw again.

Kevin nods and rubs at Randy's shoulder. "Alright Randy. We'll do that, I don't think he likes Jason's room much anyways." He leans down and nuzzles Randy's neck, flicking his tongue against it then moving back over to the door. "Let me know when you're ready Randy. I'll be in my study."

He smiled gently before heading back to his study. The local papers were spread out in front of him as he scanned the headlines. It was important that not too many bodies show up on the radar or else they'd have to pick up and move again. Humans, while not the smartest in the world were able to get one right everyonce in a while.

As he read he made note that there was a story in the police beat section of the paper that most would over look as the ramblings of a drunken bum. Apparently someone had watched either him or Randy feed; explaining it in perfect detail to the paper.

Thankfully no one would take it seriously so he pushed it to the back of his mind, making just a mental note to keep an eye out to see if any more stories made their way to the paper.
