Ted chuckled. "It took so much to make you stay," he teased. He looked at Nolee. "Of course he did. About 4 and a half hours ago."

Jace raised an eyebrow. "And you know that how?"

Carter gaped, "Yeh said the Calloways were in custody..."

Nolee frowned, "That long ago..."

Ted shrugged. "So I lied a bit," he said.

Jace looked at him. "Why wouldn't you just go after him?!"

Carter fumed, "If there is one thing on this planet I can't stand its a liar! What else are yeh keeping from us?"

Nolee ran her hand through her hair, "This....this is big..."

"We don't have any info right now. I didn't lie. I said that they were in custody. He was," Ted said.

Jace rolled his eyes.

"And how do yeh expect us to act if we ain't got no info?" Carter asked.

Nolee sighed, "Calloway's strong..."

"We aren't. That's why we're here. I have people gathering info," Ted said.

Jace sighed. This wasn't good.

"There's more of us?" Nolee asked.

Carter sighed, rubbing a hand over his suddenly tired face. "This is NOT good."

"Not us. There's us, then my team of info gatherers," Ted replied.

Jace sighed. "Well, I could help them..." he trailed off.

Carter shook his head, "Yer one of us Jace."

Nolee sighed, "Anybody extremely well known on your intel gathering?"

"Everyone," Ted said.

"I know, but I'm really smart," Jace replied.

"Thats why we need yeh with us," Carter smiled.

Nolee nodded, letting out a breath.

Jace just nodded.

"So how's everyone doing?" Ted asked, looking at them.

Carter laughed, "I was good until I heard about this. Now? I'm fuckin' terrified."


"Just peachy,' Nolee rolled her eyes.

"I'm actually pretty calm," Jace said.

Ted chuckled. "Don't be. This guy is easy."

Nolee shook her head, "I worked the Calloway case." she rolled up her shirt sleeve to show a gruesome scar, "You see that? He cut me with a butterfly knife."

Ted chuckled. "I've caught him before. I could do it blindfolded," he said.

Jace chuckled. "How about we relax?"

"Who killed yer team?" Carter asked.

Nolee sighed, rolling her shirt sleeve back down, "Fine..."

"The Calloways' people," Ted replied, shrugging as if it were nothing.

Jace gaped. "Seriously?"

Carter panicked, "Oh god...I'm gonna die...we're all gonna die..."

Nolee shook her head, "We took him in once, we can do it again. As long as...as long as he doesn't have his son Wade with him..."

"You are not going to die," Jace said.

Ted shook his head. "He is with him."

"I am gonna die..." Carter panicked.

Nolee closed her eyes, the pain of heartbreak rushing back to her.

"No one is going to die! Seriously!" Ted said firmly.

Jace looked at Nolee. "Hey, what's wrong?"

Carter nodded, calming himself.

Nolee bit her lip, "I...I don't wanna talk about it..."

Ted smiled at Carter. "We need to just breathe. We can do this," he said.

Jace nodded. "Okay."
