My Kinda Party

"Down the road, then take a right." He said, crossing his legs as he checked out his nails. Total Diva.

Carter nodded, looking at John out of the corner of his eye. "I have a nail file in the back if you need it."

John blinked. "You do?" He asked, wondering if he was serious.

"Yeah, I found it while looking for my phone, which I had dropped when I went to go get ya'll food."

John nodded and reached in the backseat of the truck, finding the nail file and doing his nail. "Do you... think I'm too much like a girl?"

"Honey, if yeh were to much like a girl I wouldn't be here," Carter laughed.

John chuckled. "I know that. But... am I... too flamboyant?:

"I love how much pride yeh take in yeh looks," Carter assured.

John smiled. "Thank you. And I love how much pride you take in being a sexy southern boy."

"I just do it, I don't take pride in it," Carter shrugged.

John nodded. "Well then, keep doin' what your doing. 'Cause I love it..." He chuckled.

Carter smiled, "Only if yeh want me to."

John smiled. "Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?''

"Some men find my dispositon off putting," Carter shrugged.

John frowned. "Well screw them. I love you, just the way you are. And I'll slap you across the face and never sleep with you again if you decide to change because of something some jackass said." He said firmly.

Carter smiled, "Well thank yeh babe..."

John smiled. "Anytime, baby." He said. They arrived at the airport, going through security and checking their bags before boarding the plane, sitting down. "Ya know I used to have a fear of flying?" He chuckled, resting his head against Carter's shoulder.

"Really?" Carter asked, smiling.

John nodded. "My first time flying, I was about 23. I was crying and hyperventilating and freaking out. It was not a pretty sight..." He chuckled.

Carter smiled, "I've been once, when I went to Texas to live with my grandfather..."

John nodded. "I was on my way to Tough Enough. Imagine trying to compete for Tough Enough, then having a breakdown on airplane." He chuckled.

"Did...did yeh still get to compete?" Carter asked, he had thought about competing since Jerry had kicked him out of his school. But he knew he didn't have enough talent.

John nodded. "Yeah. I won Tough Enough, didn't I?" He chuckled.

"Dunno, never watched Tough Enough. Did...did yeh know there was supposed to be another competitor the first season?" Carter bit his lip.

John nodded. "Yeah, but I didn't know who he was. Why?" He asked.
